Great tutorial! Wish this was around when I bought mine. As a side note, anyone in the market for a flasher will no be disappointed with this "entry level" unit. I've used mine humours times over the past couple years and it works great! Don't know how I did it without one. Take care. -Pidge

I purchased the ICE 45 before Christmas and i absolutely love it. I'm catching more fish and easier to eliminate areas for the species I'm targeting. Went fishing yesterday caught about 40 walleye in about 7 ft of water. Awesome unit!!

They really are a game changer, glad you're getting some good use out of it!

I've had this a few years, killer for 1-40 ft I'd say but laker fishing in 70-120 ft was hard to mark fish or lure.. 45 and 55 are more powerful not saying humminbird is bad love this unit just hoping this helps someone reading it

Great video. What camera did you use to record the screen of the flasher??
@the-mountainlife6 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. I think we used an iphone 6 or 7 to record the flasher so that you could see it as it normally appears. When I shoot it with my gopro it looks CRAZY!

So what exactly does gain do? It says you covered it but I couldn’t find it.
@the-mountainlife3 жыл бұрын
Gain is the same as sensitivity. If you turn the gain up the unit is more sensitive to smaller things in the water.

I'm from Illinois I usually fish off bank or off my boat. What is this device for!?
@SM-pu1vo2 жыл бұрын
It’s an ice flasher so basically used to see directly under you and marks depth of structure as well as fish. You wouldn’t use this on a boat since it doesn’t really show you a picture of what’s Under you like a traditional sonar

Why is your top bar at zero yellow and not red? I swear mine is messed up having a red bar on top.
@the-mountainlife4 жыл бұрын
I guess I don't understand your question Jay as mine appears to have a red bar at the zero mark, most noticeable from about 30 seconds to the 1 minute mark in the video...?
@jaybilawchuk22254 жыл бұрын
THE MOUNTAINLIFE hey buddy. Totally my fault. The last half of your vid it looks yellow to me. That’s where I was screwed up. It is red, and that was my bad. You did a fantastic job of making this video, especially the run down on everything is so clear. You do very good videos. Please disregard my stupid comment on the color of that bar. lol. And keep up the great work. It’s so helpful to have guys like you on the web doing these things for us!!
@the-mountainlife4 жыл бұрын
Jay Bilawchuk No problem man! I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something, glad it was just something simple. Thanks for your thoughts on my videos. It’s super nice to know that your work is appreciated, thanks! My hope is to help people catch a few more fish and expand their skills on the water whenever I do a vid like this. Good luck!

@the-mountainlife6 жыл бұрын
I guess you can spend more money, but this had everything I was looking for. Maybe I'm a bit simple I guess!

THE MOUNTAINLIFE yea me too I don't get why people call em entry level I'd love to have one a guy at fleet farm said I'd understand when I ice fish more I'm still in my first year ice fishing so I figured you might can tell me why people say that bout them
