I'm probably going to assume that the game gets boring after you get all the upgrades... I'm glad that pixeljam is still cooking.

Doesn't get boring for me at all. The main appeal of the game at least for me isn't the upgrades, but the gameplay loop of rationing as many nukes as possible, and just playing well, getting high scores. The upgrades are just linear power scaling. Doesn't matter how many upgrades you get, you're always going to feel underpowered, and its by design.

@@Teffg Oh yeah, I forgot about how obsessed I am with scoring system in games. I blame my low attention span for making this theory.

Not sure if you've already tried it, but it sits on the other extreme of boring. This recording cannot convey the permanent state of hyper attention and, I'd add, hopelessness, through the waves. It is a very intriguing title. I've been finding it mesmerizing, tbh.

I feel like the rewards are not fully random in this game. I don't seem to get offered twin shot or coil gun until day 9, and max blackout until day 30 regardless of what labs are unlocked. Do you find that too?
