With owning both of these brands I would shy away from Polaris due to reliability. Polaris are good when new but tend to need more maintenance and more often in my experience. I have also owned atvs of both brands and same way. I grew up with Polaris and have changed to Can Am.

If does this why idling or while you’re driving? It’s definitely normal for high performance engines exhausts to do that at and idle because they are holding a lot of heat from not moving. That doesn’t mean that’s it’s fine though. So if it only does it when it’s not moving, then just shut it off if your gonna be stopped for more than a minute

Great video. Just got my 2020 xrc and rode it last weekend in Vermont. My previous ride was a 2015 xp 1000 desert edition which is similar to the Rocks and Trails. The xrc feels significantly more nimble on the trails and it high speed corners so flat which was surprising. Granted the springs need to break in and settle, but the rzr has a much softer and pillow-like ride quality. Can am fit and finish is the best though. Untouchable.

What machine has the more comfortable / softer suspension for all-around trial / rock riding?

I felt like at slower speeds, the RZR felt softer and more compliant. As speeds picked up, I actually preferred the way the Can Am felt. Truth be told, we didn't test the machines at high speed in the whoops. I'm not sure the rock crawler crowd is necessarily worried about high-speed whoops though.

So I know this is a little late in the comments, but can you answer the endless debate over high range vs low for all-around trail riding, I have the TRE and everyone keeps saying ride in low under 20mph but I hate the way it revs so high in low like it’s really struggling, sounds and feels way better in high range even at 15-20 mph, don’t want to burn up belts but the TRE just doesn’t seem to perform at its best in low range other than for more extreme technical riding.
@SpeedingMedia3 жыл бұрын
The only time I rode around in low was when I was crawling. My methodology was, as long as the clutch is locked up on the belt, you're good to go. If the machine is struggling to lock the belt up, then I'd run it in low.

I like both machines and will be in the market for one these at the end of the year. For me the advantage goes to Polaris because of the trailing link suspension. I do more trails than rocks and the trailing link suspension is a better all around ride. Having said that, I do like the looks of the Can Am and could buy one if I found a tremendous deal on a close out. Good video.
@SpeedingMedia4 жыл бұрын
I would normally agree, but we actually felt the Can-Am felt better on the trails. I'm guessing this is likely due to the Fox shocks on the Can-Am. After spirited trail riding both machines on the same trail, the Fox shocks were warm to the touch, whereas the Walker Evans shocks were so hot they couldn't be touched.
