Very happy with a point today, you guys were much the better side but as my Villa supporting mate texted me, if you don't finish your dinner these results can happen, our backup goalie played a blinder and a bit of quality at the end rescues us! Hi Luke, Came up from Cardiff with my brother to watch the game today. We battered them, we dominated them for the whole game apart form ten minutes and when they scored the equaliser. Their goal keeper had a amazing game and saved the score being 3 or 4 nil. They didn't deserve to get the point but sometimes that's just how it goes! Looked for you at the end of the game outside the Trinity stand but couldn't see you anywhere. Keep up the great content Luke, look forward to your posts. UTV!!

Another great performance from Villa, controlled the game, created so many chances but their keeper kept them in game. Not sure why we decided to boot the ball up and not play out from the back last 10 minutes. It led to Bournemouth regaining possession, countering and then winning fouls high up the pitch. However, it's still always a joy to watch the Villains who easily play some of the best football in the league. Big games coming up, can't wait to see the lads in action again but Rogers, Youri and Pau need to rest before Tottenham, UTV! Also, still undefeated since September.... GG.

What did I learn today: 1. We are definitely NOT title challengers 'yet' we're just below par but ì can see us still battling for 3rd to 5th spot his season. 2. Still not firing on all cylinders - will be really interesting to see how we play against Spurs and Liverpool. 3. By our high standards, our final pass, touch is still below par. Need to fix that sooner rather than later. 4. Have to improve our clinical finishing ratio 5. Bailey goal aside; he still isn't showing signs of his old self. I desperately want him to find his form as there's nothing like a happy, smiling on form Bailey.

Completely agree with Justin regarding Buendía. I was saying yesterday that we need to take Rogers off for Buendía. He's a player that can just unlock defences and create big chances. I also think he'd have brought a bit of fight to the game and that might have lifted everyone up a bit. Think we really need to use him more and let him show what he can do.

Duran looked shocked to miss and their striker did a Duran. Went ahead made the keeper look good we have to be much more clinical. We looked a bit to confident we’d win but it might serve as a wake up before some big games. If the game is now nit picking over the ball being out( looked outside, far more of the ball 99.99% over the line) we need a slap. Also think chopping pulling etc players from behind when they have got passed is a professional foul and worth a red, it stops the game and the chance for the crowd to see more goals. I agree on Beundia.

@tomjolliffescreenwriter10 сағат бұрын
We dominated for 80 minutes, sat back and unfortunately made silly challenges to give away free kicks. Punished with almost the last kick of the game, but honestly, if a winger is running the touchline and you're not the last man defending, you don't dive in, especially if they're past you (even if you touch the ball, 9/10 the ref will blow a foul for a challenge from behind). Barkley did, the only thing he did wrong in the game, and we've been punished by sloppy set-piece defending. We know it's a weakness, so the last thing you do is give one away with seconds to go. To be honest no team in the league is good at defending set pieces. It's a weakness in the modern game because the obsession with SP coaches is always the other end. A lot to be happy about though. Played well again. To be fair to Bournemouth they made a good game of it, always looking to try and counter and not just parking the bus. I think the biggest issue, which we've had all season, is converting good chances. Granted, Travers had a great game in goal for Bournemouth, but we should have put away a few. Rogers missed a great chance. Duran, to the shock of everyone, saw a thunderbolt go inches wide (ironically, Travers might have had it covered). I think we've also got to start putting teams to the sword. One goal is too fine a margin. We've dropped 4 points against Ipswich and Bournemouth in games we should have killed them off in. Tielemen's was incredible by the way. Such a classy player. Two very tough games in the league now, and we've got to pick up 3 points I think to stay in that pack.

Fine margins. We have to dissect every aspect of our game now to ensure we are the right side of these margins. The point you made Luke about if that was Salah, something is happening and couldn’t agree more. Ramsey and Rogers need to make these breaks towards goal count more. This is why we will not challenge for the prem this season, however if Liverpool beat Arsenal today, we stay 3rd! So it will soften the blow, so c’mon the scousers! Happy for Ross getting his goal and to be fair, their keeper had the game of his career. I predict 2 wins in our next 2 games, UTV!

Just before the ultimate freekick , Ramsey and co should of ran the clock down (soft ball to give away) It was sloppy by Barkley, cash had it covered. I’m not to sure why we set our line so high for the freekick which essentially allowed them to have the run on us and let them drop the ball into a dangerous area . As for the ball being out… I’d say it was out (agreed) but I also thought the Newcastle one was out . I remember the PGMOL explaining why the ball was still in play and all the pundits agreed in unison… I would love to hear them explain and divid the 2 because ours was a lot closer to the line. The way the rules are now, allows match officials to manipulate games and get away with it with ease. On paper, that game looks filth with all the yellows being handed out. I was at the game yesterday and it was anything but that. Blows my brains out We played brilliantly yesterday but we were the makers of our own down fall all in the last 5 or 10 minutes
@leejohnson3209Күн бұрын
The defending of the free kick was poor but our problems started 10 minutes before we got to that point. We had chance after chance to get our foot on the ball and spurned every one. Misplaced pass after misplaced pass, bad decision after bad decision, so many miss controls. It was clear the goal was coming, it wasn't even a shock when it did, I called it as soon as they got the free kick, I knew it was going in our net. Ah well. We move on to the next one.

Mo Salah is one of the best wide forwards in Premier league history mate. I thought a few times JJ got wide and just had to try thrash it thru the box, as not many were gettin up with him and olly was on his heels today. Which was a suprise because he looked a live wire when he came on midweek. That last 10 minutes game management was terrible tho. How many needless free kicks did we give away. Then leaving there goalscorer the freedom of villa park to score whilst Duran and cash marked fresh air. Such a shame. Has to be 2 points dropped.

Why don't we leave one player up on a corner? Or an opposition attacking half free kick? Because if Duran is standing near the halfway line, they then have to leave two back. Were not being clinical enough and teams seem to score easily past us. On matty cash, I've seen abit of a debate again today of some fans saying the usual he's awful and some fans then calling those fans nasty words for calling him out. I'm getting sick to death of the same thing every week with cash. He might not be the reason we didn't win today but he was the one at fault for the goal. He was marking evanilson and he scored from that free kick. End of cash was at fault.
