UV Cruncher

The UV Cruncher is my variation of the original English Cruncher pattern. The original and this new version have proven themselves to be one of my most productive searching patterns, especially when Callibaetis nymphs are active.

hi Phil, nice fly. I've been familiarizing myself with the G.B. patterns for awhile now. starting to sort out the names now. good fly updated with modern materials. Thanks.

Very nice pattern Phil! it is different in that it uses some of the older or common skins in ones stash. I find that some years I can use the majority of one whole pheasant skin tying similar patterns and this adds versatility to the uses for common hackles. Regards, Dan Wight

Hi Nigel, you could easily use hen hackles if you wish. I believe the original pattern was tied using lower grade Indian saddle. Thanks, Phil
