Hello, can you tell me if the printer is the same as the one in your video, it constantly has a paper jam error.

Hello, I have Epson l1800. Printing the printer with UV I changed it to , but the printer soon slows down. Its speed drops almost to a standstill. After just 30 minutes of idle time it straightens up and slows down again. Have you encountered this problem before? Or do you have a guess about the solution?

Yes i know about that problem. You need to use fine machine oil every couple of weeks on the shaft that head carrier is moving on. If you dont lubricate the rings that slide on the shaft get wasted and with time it gets hard to move carrier left and right. There are two possible solutions. On each side of the carrier there are two aluminum covers on the shaft which you have to take off. Also there is some sponge behind the cover that you have to take out and lubricate the shaft after that. That sometimes work but you can probably make it print 5 or 6 pages until it starts slowing down and than you need to turn the printer off wait a couple of minutes then start printing again. Other solution is complete replacement of the chassie. Solution one is much easier than replacing everything and i will paste you link with the video on how to do that.

Hi Brother, I have a similar printer A4 size, with epson l805 print head. the printer is not powering up, the power in the tray and is coming and the uv switch is also having light, but the power button panel for the print head is not working. This happened after i cleaned then printhead. Are you fimiliar what might be causing it? Thank you! 😊

Yes, you burned the mother board. It can be repaired or it can be replaced. But also you have to check the cable that is plugged in the head, does it have any burns on the pin or is it clean. If its clean than thats ok, but if it has any burns on the pins you will have to replace the cable too or at least clean it.

@@Max0ressurected Thank you for taking out time to reply to my question, I really appreciate that. I do have a normal epson l805 with which i was using for sublimation printings. So i took out the motherboard, power supply and the print head and put that in the UV printer but still nothing came on. So im guessing from your reply that the wire for the print head must be burnt, i think i have a spare one, i will change that and will update on that. Thank you again for your reply, theres really no video or anything on these printers.

One more thing that you have to keep in mind is that it could be the problem with the printhead burning the mother board, but there is no other way to check that but to be 100% shure that the motherboard worked before or be 100% shure that the head that you are putting in worked on another printer to detect that kind of problem. If the electronics on the head is burning motherboards, you will just burn the next one you put in. So put another head that you know for shure that the electronics are good on it (it can be clogged one aswell for testing) and then try another motherboard.

yes brother the sublimation printer was working fine. I changed the print head wire and still no response from the printer. There is one thing that i think might be the problem, my machine is not grounded, and if naked footed, i touch the body with my arm or elbow it gives a minor shock. Can this be the issue? The machine is not getting good electricity?
