I make tiny inlays too, but I dust them with mica powder first before I lay it in the resin. It easier to see which side to lay down and the color transfers very well. ❤

For the spear ones that you put the hooks in you should have turned the molds side ways, so when you hang them you can see the images better😊❤

Yes but that creates problems sadly 🤨 the biggest one being if you take the piece out and put it back in sideways then the seal is broken and resin will flow around the front. No issue if you use clear resin, but if you use black then you will need to sand that black layer off. It’s totally doable 😀 but more trouble than it’s worth 😀💜

Not necessarily. Just turn the mold sideways, prop it with clay or a small cup. Fill it, cure it, then turn it upright and add the black🙂

I have this set of molds! I got this little Xmas set for my nails. I learned how to do my own gel nails, and the polygels and builder gels are like close cousins to UV resin, so I figured why not give resin crafts a try? So here I am, knee deep in mica powders, glitter, and resin, trying to cast dominoes. I got a decent glow in the dark set (so far) waiting for the backing to be poured, hopefully I can give them to my nephews as Xmas presents. My whole kitchen is a disaster from these projects!

Now I'm a bit worried that my kitchen may not be the best place for it, but it's winter here in Wisconsin, so I can't do this in the garage right now, or everything will freeze. I ordered some polymer clay to help mitigate the toxic fumes factor, and I use a heating mat to make the epoxy all cure faster. I don't see a lot of KZbin resin artists using a heat mat. *Are heating mats bad?*

I made such tiny inlays once glued it to the bottom and poured resin over them like with normal big inlays but the glue wasn't strong enough and they vanished into the resin so i forgot about it. But with this technique I really should try it again thank you so much 😘

All gorgeous, and the spheres are amazing. Great idea to use the split rings like that. Nail decal moulds are ideal for making miniature inlays, and there's loads of different designs to choose from. Loved this tutorial, thank you so much for sharing x ❤
