I have Omnisphere /kontakt and I tend to gravitate towards falcon for sound design (Think-it do-it)

I don't like the work flow of omnisphere, it looks a bit tacky as well

Nice review! I own Avenger, Reaktor and Falcon and that's exactly what I think about Falcon. It's between them. Avenger is easy to use but it has limitations, and Reaktor too difficult for me to program. The possibilities of Falcon are extremely wide, but you have to know how to use it. It needs a long learning process. Thank you for sharing your tipps to make it easier to use.

Terrible review. From my perspective as a long-time Falcon user, this review mainly misses the boat entirely. The presenter here should have spent a lot more time with Falcon before creating this hugely incomplete review. The biggest strength of Falcon is it's full featured and awesome sampling features, along with near infinite possibilities of combining sampling with various types of synthesis. The user graphic interface for creating multi-sample patches is extremely fast, easy and super comprehensive. Also... I only use the "Tree" view for troubleshooting, not programming. I make a lot of use of the "List" view, not even shown once in this video. Yes, Falcon has it's idiosyncrasies , but you can learn to create sounds very quickly on it, once you get used to the layout.

Is there a video or channel you’d recommend to show how the sampling features work? I’m new here 😅

Cooper Deniro lmao i so agree, the only place with all the help i need is the manual (and even then i still have questions)

The factory sounds are excellent and they have a good selection of packs for different genres. As the factory and pack sounds are generally multi-layered, it is easy just to solo and mute to just use the parts that you want. You can also take those and modify them to fit your needs exactly. You can copy and paste them to create your own presets using them. In addition, you can also layer multiple presets and solo, mute, and edit to build custom multi-samples. So, no need to build stuff from scratch.

You describe my thoughts well. I do want to buy Falcon as I am a programmer, but I do not want to buy Falcon as I want to make music in my hobby time. The dilemma is real. Thanks for explaining your thoughts.

the folder structure lets it down - I guess its quite difficult to re-engineer

I’ll give you one answer. anything you want that is, as long as you know you to use it. Has a deep learning curve

All three of them are great. 30 years ago i'd have paid a lot of money for the power of any of the three of them, oh and omnisphere also.

Looks a lot like the new Melda Production Sound Factory (MSoundFactory). It's also a synthesis platform. When it is released, they will also have a free player to host your creations.

I think some things to consider are the innate abilities of the user, the experience of the user. Some people will spend sone time to master their new synth before doing pure trial and error every time they want something. So what is worse for one person could be the best for another. It might be a good idea to speak about or consider the target audience. You can't treat everyone the same way. I think Falcon might be the best for non-beginners or beginners wanting to become more advanced and get out of the world of extreme trial and error. So it's important to consider the goals of the user not only how fast a beginner can come up with a sound they like.

As far as I see, Falcon has more or less the same concept than Phase Plant: easy-going modular synthesis. It's an interesting idea, but I prefer something I can have fun in the process designing faster and intuitively making music rather than an engineering fashion thing. I fully admire the people who enjoy building and patching from scratch, but definitely is not for me.

A dreary tour of wonderland. Granted, Reaktor is incomprehensible to humans and Avenger is a CPU vampire, but that takes 10 secs to say, then you move on and show some hi lights of the best soft-synth in the opinion of most. I just got this jaded vibe from the review.

Right! Lol it’s like he intended to make it sound dry but it’s actually pretty dope 😂

I kind felt your video was a bit depressing. Yes, we all know that UVI falcon is not going to be a Reaktor or an Avenger, but tell us something we don't know. Like, how to program the layers with the key groups, or how to automate something cool with it. Basically, Do what the title says, Show What it's good for, without feeling so F'n depressed!

Spero...I have a A level in Economics where my dissertation was on ‘Product placement’. Wondering why you think you know the markets better than I do? Do you have, or have you ever, studied marketing/economics? I suppose you hate this video too do you mate? Is he not teaching you correctly? Maybe you should teach him!!!
@jamisbillson48725 жыл бұрын
Spero...no mate. Idiots who pretend to be economists but who’d get lost at the first line of legislation regarding regulatory alignment...just an example...that’s not hitting any of my spots. I see you’ve refused to answer my simple question. Why is that? Is it because you don’t want me to knock some spots off you mate?
@jamisbillson48725 жыл бұрын
Spero...what the fuck does that mean idiot? I’m on to a winning behaviour! You ask for an argument and then won’t answer a question. Another twat “Hahaha” himself. What’s with people? Are you an idiot?
