I've never used Falcon - just the UVI player for a lot of libraries. Can you really do all this in Falcon and would all the parameters be as accessible or would you have to climb over a much more complex interface to get there...?

I would prefer some riff library or a riff generator instead of some common arpeggiators, (which are usually more suitable for synth sounds), especially for these type of sounds (guitars). There is some phrase arp option, however, maybe it is it?

This looks excellent. Does it support multi-out so i can process individual layers with my own FX? Does it support midi output from the generated sequences so that I can further customize it? This aren't deal-breakers for me, more like nice-to-haves. If not, are these being considered in any subsequent release?

This is a really cool instrument. The sounds are excellent and the possible combinations are daunting. Two small wishes are that there be keyboard (note) tracking on the filter and more sustained sounds, especially in the world instruments section. For sequences and arpeggios, especially in the bass range, I am really finding I want note tracking on the filter.

So, I have this, and it’s made GarageBand crash two or three times and freeze once. I have tons of other UVI stuff and very rarely does the rest of it give me trouble. I have tried the other instruments from the Select Bundle and only this one has given me trouble. It sucks because I really want to be able to use these guitar sounds, as I’m a keyboard-based one-man band (and vocal group, but I digress).

Yes, there is, but you have to “record it” to a buffer, first, then you can drag it into a MIDI track.

What do you mean by that? You can run it in the free UVI Workstation...

You can run it in Falcon, too, but you cannot edit it in it, so it’s limited for example only to samples that come with it.

Actually it is quite editable... if you mean you want to replace sampled content with your own, then no, but then again you have all the arps and Euclidian scripts available already so I don't see the point. If you want to use the sound sources by themselves, the layers can be copied to your own Falcon patches too if you'd like as with much of their other instruments.
