I own several orchestral libraries from Spitfire, Orchestral Tools, Audio Imperia, VSL and I also compose electronic music... and this.. this... is incredible. What a perfect combination for both worlds or mixing the two worlds. It was an instant buy. As I am going thru the library I am beyond pleased.

Two layers with 2 engines, each can be either a sampler or a synth. A synth view, a sequencer view and a fx view, and modulation down there. that veeery close from arturia augmented strings ;)

Good job. I've got a bunch of UVI libraries - top notch and very bang for buck. I'm curious about those "modeled" sounds. I assume they are samples and not some new synth engine incorporated into the UVI player. Perhaps UVI resampled some SWAM. :) I own the SWAM collection in addition to UVI orchestra and they play well together.

No wait - the description says that hardware modeling synthesizers were sampled... Possibly my venerable Yamaha VL1-m then. There's not much modeling "hardware" out there.

Pardon the newbie question as I've never used UVI before and coming from Komplete Kontrol, but does the UVI workstation provide audio previews of presets? Also, why does it take so long to load a preset? I'm trying out a month of the pass. Thanks!

Thanks for a great overview Cameron.... just bought it, and the presets sound great! ... But... do you know how to initialize the Augmented Orchestra? usually, there is a patch called init or something like that, but there doesn't seem any like that here...

Heyo! Not really an init patch for this library, but I suppose the 'Natural' patches would sort of be the init state to some degree since they're more traditional and don't use the modulation and other features quite as much so they can act as a better starting point if you want to work from scratch.

It really shocked and saddened me to see the comments that were all touted. Native Instrument released the soundtrack artifact THRILL and Mysteria as early as 2017, and Sample Logic also released many such multi-sample real-time mixing sample libraries, as well as Fear Symphony, which launched the concept of real-time mixing more than ten years ago. UVI no longer has any pioneering spirit and concept. UVI is just copying other outdated things. I have purchased thousands of dollars of UVI products over the years, and now UVI products have been unable to create anything that makes me buy. Desire product too. Perhaps, UVI believes that it has many customers and does not need to continue to innovate. Anyway, it can extract hundreds of dollars from our old customers every year.

I Too am unimpressed by the hours one could spend trying to mix and match sounds thanks to the said Native instruments plugins... but let us recall UVI already has 2 Quadra plugins with 4 layers at $149 each. Not sure This has enough meat for people who already own the cheaper Quadra "series". Owners of Quadra should not pay more that $99 for this. It is not worth $300. People should start to set exitement aside when new plugins drop.

The orchestra in World Suite is possible the worst sampled string section on the market, but it surprisingly sounds really good once you mess it up with Falcon. I'm guessing they're using the same samples in this as it defiantly sounds better once heavily effected than in natural raw form.

I don't think the 70 hours of recordings they refer to on their site (specifically by section) could be from those World Suite orchestral recordings, although I didn't bother to compare the section sizes between these 2 libraries (I don't own World Suite Orch.)

Loading time between presets take a long time(10-15 seconds),fix it in next update please.(And I have a fast mini Mac)
