That's one of the best examples of how the media can completely change the meaning of what someone said by leaving out the context. In the original interview the quote was lifted from, Jon was talking about how strange the music industry is, and how success in one place doesn't guarantee success in another. That was when he mentioned Robbie, as someone who he thought was very good, but for some reason he didn't understand never broke in the US. That's where the 'fill a bar' thing comes from.

Jon doesn't loathe the Gallagher brothers, he's said on several occasions that he thinks they're incredibly talented. He's said the bickering between them is a bit childish, but that's simply true, and doesn't mean he loathes them. He's hung out with Noel at least (Noel's mentioned that, calling Jon a very nice guy). Jon's said several times before that he really likes Robbie's music too.

That surprises me as in 2013 Jon sang "Let me entertain you" at his UK concerts. Equally Robbie sang "Livin' on a prayer" in 2017. I think Robbie is more known in Europe than Globally. Thats fair to say. Maybe thats what Jon meant by it.

@zimuqian he did say that yes, but he was only describing how bon jovi were global whereas robbie is only a national hit. he said 'I mention a name like robbie Williams respectfully, but he couldn't sell out the teensiest place here' instead of reading an article i suggest you watch/listen to an interview to get the real story. i do however think robbie is shit
