UWC, Three Years After Graduation

At the time this video was made--after one year in College--I was trying to let go of the turmoil caused by losing this sense of community and "move on". Now that I'm living in Japan again and have worked at another international school, I've been able to understand the experience a bit better and put it into context. UWC is a very formative experience which happens during a crucial part of our "growing up" phase. It's the place of a lot of growth and learning. It is also a home, and as in all cases, it is hard to say goodbye.

I loved the video, and I was truly moved by the emotion you conveyed. I believe you had an incredible experience, and I hope to, at some point, also be able to experience that same feeling of joy, curiosity, and above all, the sense of having fulfilled a dream.
