@trainman 2009:The loco shows no steam/smoke because the hot exhaust from the flame of the single fluetube boiler makes the exhausted steam from the cylinders invisible. Therefore you only see steam from the safety valve on warm days. The best steam plumes you can get are in Winter but than fireing up of an engine up isn´t that easy
