Bravo for the sole fact that you put the trail route in the description and on the video!!! Ive been trying to do some youtube recon...and its tough when people mash up clips together out of order or dont tell you what trail they are on currently. Cool video and thanks for sharing!

​@@FarReachFR What would be great is some sort of visual indicator of hill angle, me and my fiance went on my 700cc adv bike (doubled up) and you definitely don't get much of an idea of the verticality of the trail sections by video alone. We entered rocky mtn loop from the Dutch John Road crossing, went over some of the lumps, then got to a pretty steep incline that was covered in fairly large rocks, we made it to the top of that and turned around because I wasn't keen on risking my fiances safety in case there were even more difficult sections of that loop. Was alot of fun for me, but she told me it was getting scary for her

Video is super helpful to me as I'm just starting to off-road. Thanks! I live about 2 hours from this park and want to try it out. Also, I'm surprised at the ratings in some of these. The "moderate" trails look better than some patient's driveways I've taken a full size ambulance down.

Glad to help! You'll enjoy off-roading it can be calm, peaceful or roaring and challenging, whichever you want that day. Also with your experience with a heavy ambulance on sloppy roads you have the perfect skill set to get going on trails! Heads up on Uwharrie, is that it officially closes trails December 15th and then reopens in April. So if you are planning a trip yet this year, there is not much time left until needing to wait until next spring. Good Luck!

What trails would be ok for a 96 ZJ 5.2 STOCK height? Not looking to destroy it but maybe have a little fun with the old beast

I got plenty of articulation but I aint got lockers yet. Bout 6.5 inch lift with 33s. Will she send without the lockers?

Yes. If you are heading the same route in the dry, you should be plenty fine. You will have far more clearance than I did. Enjoy the trails and good riding!

Looks like a yes to me. It says the following on the National Forest website "North Carolina’s national forests offer four trail systems for riding off-highway vehicles (OHVs), including all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), 4-wheel-drives (4WDs), and trail bikes. "

I grew up riding bikes here. There are easy peasy trails, and there are trails you can literally lose your life on. Be careful which trail you take. Educate yourself
