Physical education degree at UW-La Crosse
Earn a master's degree in Physical Education Teaching at UW-La Crosse. Earning a PE degree, you will be prepared to enrich and lead school physical education curriculum and instruction.
The Physical Education Teaching graduate program at UW-La Crosse has two areas of emphasis: Adapted PE and Adventure and Outdoor Pursuits. Both programs prepare students to become physical education teachers working with students with disabilities or students in the general education population.
Both programs have a 100 percent job placement rate. Students learn evidence-based content knowledge, technology skills and gain clinical experience in PK-12 physical education.
“Clinical and hands on teaching experiences were the most valuable part of this program. Being able to work with quality, adapted physical education teachers in the area and work with students with disabilities under their guidance really helped to develop my confidence as a future professional,” says Amanda Pikkaraine, ’23, an adapted physical education teacher in the Holmen School District.
