Naji Hakim BACH'ORAMA Orgelfantasie über Themen von Johann Sebastian Bach

Yesterday I had the pleasure to hear Master Naji Hakim at Speyer cathedral. This was a night of organ improvisation & premieres of new compositions. After two hours of hearing technically brilliant but rather cold modern composition, there came an overwhelming sensation of good- & rightness from the first chord Master Naji stroke. A video screen permitted to see his hand & feet movments. So one could see his self- effacement and yet complete mental & manual control - the sign of true masters. After one hour of improvisation on various themes of european music, I was convinced I had heard the greatest living organ master. Maitre Hakim is a blessed person and the worthy successor of Langlais & Messiaen.
