Uzbek Culinary Experience in Riga Latvia 🇱🇻

Justin, you’re such a friendly soul. I love how you interact with everyone around you. You made that old lady’s day. It’s not an easy life for pensioners sometimes. It’s so nice to see people caring for each other. I love to interact with people around me, too. It’s so much more interesting that way and it’s great to see people open up and share stories. The food looked really good. That plov looks a lot like Kabuli pilau (Afghanistan). I make it myself and it’s one of our favourite dishes. It’s also made with lamb stock, lamb, caramelised carrots and raisins. Must be quite similar in taste. Every time I go back to Latvia, I always think I need to try Uzbek cuisine. But never have managed so far. I will try next time. Thanks for another great video!

Omg bless you Justin! What a lovely experience for Anna. You made her day or may be a year. Thank you for you kindness. I almost started to cry when she was asking how much it is and would she be able to afford having it once a month. She probably has a very small pension, but there is another thing that people grown up in ussr are just not used to eat out or to go to restaurants. Restaurants were a privilege. And also struggling of after war famine and terrible 90’ they are just afraid to spend extra to treat themselves. My parents are the same, they can afford having dinner out, but they just not doing it. When next time I ll be in Riga I will have some plov in that place :)))

Hi Vitalijs, To be honest I enjoy and appreciate my life and try to make the most out of every situation. But Riga is a fabulous city and I do enjoy it very much. My absolute favorite beer is ValmierMuiza and I have wanted to make a video about it several times!!! I have been twice to Valmiera to make the video, the fist time was on a Monday and the brewery was closed, the second time it was pissing down with rain. Third time lucky I am hoping. I do not use any conventional ways of learning, never take classes, more self taught.
