It’s not language of Navai or Babur, It’s Turkic language, and Turkic language is used by many countries such as Turkiye, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tatarstan, Kymyki, Balkary, Uyghuri, and many others… Uzbekistan is one of those Turkic states. The thing is when you travel to those countries as a Turkic person, you don’t often have to need translators (interpreters)

Brayden, aren't you jumping to conclusions based on a single case? This case looks to be a very rare exception tbh. It's rare that Uzbek people in Uzbekistan would refuse to speak Russian in an Uzbek restaurant or generally in Uzbekistan. 99 per cent of places have no issue and speak Russian or even English. Some shops speak Chinese, Turkish, Urdu, Farsi, Uygur I'm an Uzbek living in Uzbekistan.

Not everybody knows russian. The waiter 100% doesnt know russian Also there are people like me who knows spoken russian well but prefers to seem not knowing to challenge the Russified Uzbeks living in Uzbekistan. But tourist nah I havent seen anyone knowingly not speak foreign language to foreigners its a different case
