This reminds me of the whole “do you guys not have phones” incident. I don’t understand why developers and people representing games feel the need to flame their audiences if they disagree with the core gameplay. It’s generally a bad idea to smack talk the people you want playing your game. What uzu and paragon should have done was, ideally have close to zero bugs and had better systems, (an example being a feint system that didn’t force you to dash) and show their audiences why they want what they were working on. better yet, listen to your fanbase and meet those expectations so that way people stop complaining and your games do better. Uzu didn’t do that and thats why EBG failed. They attempted to cater to Deepwoken and type soul players with this combat system but since it was clearly unfinished and had bad core design, they just went back to deepwoken and type soul. YBA should have been abandoned due to horrendous balancing and lack of content however like you said, YBA’s fanbase is used to Uzu’s bad tendencies and seem to have standards so low they they might as well be buried beneath the earth’s crust.

Even with that being said everything that eclipse said in this video is just objectively correct in general. Like the explanation of law of supply and demand which is the very basics of economics. It is also very bold to blame a single person for just stating an opinion about a game which is literally just freedom of speech. Clearly people are the ones that dont want anything changed about the battleground games, which is in its own right completely OKAY. As he said in this video, what people want is what your priority should be and that doesnt stand just for roblox games, but for almost anything in life when it comes to work or business. THIS VERY VIDEO was made because eclipse knew people would crave it and want to see it and not because he wanted to make it or enjoyed making it. That is how life works and if you cannot go along with it, you are bound to fall.

Uzu is like a bowl factory owner that tried to disguise it's product as something new so that more people would buy the bowls. But then came the reviewers (Eclipse) judging it to oblivion with actual good cause, trashing the bowls' reputations down to the gutter Then, the Owner asked for feedback on it's designs, and it's braindead audience wanted the ol' fashioned same bowl types to appear on the bowl market for the 1000th time. Then, Paragon, (which i'll call the owner's right hand man) judged us all with stupid-ass arguments, giving a massive middle finger to those who gave fair criticisms to the bowls. I’ll admit it and say that me and my friends will occasionally get on a battlegrounds game and fuck around for an hour or two just to have fun, usually trying out anything new when it comes out. EBG came out, and nobody gave a shit. Because 1, it wasn’t what they wanted from a battlegrounds game rn (like you mentioned), and 2, Uzu made it. His name alone being on the project is enough to bring anything down.

Something that's interesting is a lot of game Devs really think they can get away with taking multiple delays after Hyping up a game. A lot of themn will dump a crap ton of "Fake progress" (the very barebones aspects of the game) to hype it up and proceed to take break after break. Not realizing they not only have yet to get a community that's okay or trusting with that behavior yet...
