Oh wow, not sure how I missed this video. Many years ago I 3D modelled the rocket, trailer and Hanomag for part of a WW2 Flans Mod vehicle pack in Minecraft back in the day, I did a lot of research to make it as accurate as I could, so this brings back a lot of memories. Outstanding work as always!

There are two types of modelers. The ones who care about the exact historical detail and the exact tone of the color or shade they use, and the artists! Dear friend Plasmo you are an artist! And i am a big fan of you. It's great achievment to make a tiny thing look real and not toy!

Really nice. It would be cool to make a small diorama, perhaps with a couple of allied troops, of whatever nation you like, looking at it. The only addition I would give, would be a camouflaged tarpaulin placed loosely over the A-4 'Vergeltungswaffen Zwei'.
@Serenityindailylife6 жыл бұрын
Some full brass would have been nice on the radiator. Back then they used brass and copper for the radiators. Maybe some brass with green around edges of the chip. One thing you may want to consider...towards the end the V-2s were launched very quickly after being built. So the trailer and trucks were very beat up but some V-2s were launched with wet paint practically.

The kit is definitely very worth of the price with great detail and everything you need to build it straight out of the box. However kits like that come with a pretty high price. Not saying that they are not worth it, but they shouldn't start replacing all the other cheap kits released in the market, that can also give you a very respectable finish with a little of scratchbuilding as well.

It is a great video, but your colors are incorrect for the V2 Division vehicles. All of the battery equipment, including trailers, were base coat sand yellow. Some had green camo splotches. There may have been some SS100 tractors used that were a different color, but as a whole, the sand yellow was applied at Lager Rebstock during the outfitting of the batteries in 1943-44.

Great model, however I am fairly sure that the V-weapon would have less weathering in real life, they weren't weapons that were stored for long periods before use. They were manufactured, shipped and launched. I feel that given the fact that these were the peak of Germany's technology, pride in their engineering would have resulted in careful maintenance. The fact that the fuels were so likely to combust mean that cleanliness and care in preparation was essential means that the single-use rocket itself would not be subject to the usual weathering of a tool that is used multiple times in combat. Otherwise, amazing as always,

You know how you can watch a really good artist just doodle and it somehow comes out looking really good, and you think to yourself ‘I can fo that’, and then you do and it looks like a 3 year old just scribbled on paper? Well, I see what he does, I have the same materials, I try to mimic the actions, and let’s just say it doesn’t like like the finished object, or really anything else recognizable in our universe. At least I can see what I’ll never be able to attain. I just don’t have the artistic flair I guess. That said, I still have fun. That’s something I guess.

Ahoj mal by som taku otazku k praci s olejami :) Okolo casu 10:00 ked nanasas rozne vrstvy olejovych farieb a rozotieras ich. Priebezne to aj lakujes? Teda ze spravis nejaku pracu s nejakou farbou. Nechas zaschnut, potom laka a zasa dalsiu farbu oleju? Lebo ak sa to nelakuje tak si neznicis predchadzajucu vrstvu?
@idaemonplasmo6 жыл бұрын
Ahoj.
