Quite right about being in Tune! I own a K14ce Builder's Edition with V-Class bracing and it responds magnificently! Bravo Taylor Guitars!

Yeah, this is the one I want too ... the 614ce. Still saving my pennies! I've been in many rooms with many Taylors but whenever I pick up the 600 series it just speaks to me. I vibrates my whole body. It's more of an experience than with other guitars.

I have owned a Taylor 214 ce-SB DLX for many years now and it always stays in tune, I have never owned a guitar quite like the Taylor, love it for ease of play even with my arthritis, my next purchase might be in the 12 fret series which I was told would be easier for chord progressions as my condition worsens with age, but I must say Taylor saved my love of the guitar with their precision work, Thank You!

Out of all the great Taylor guitars, the 614ce v class is my favorite.

I have a 2008 614ce. It is my favorite among three other guitars, all Taylors. I have no complaints about it. On the other hand, it sometimes complains about me.

curious: how does the bracing affect intonation?

Emmanuel Espino I read that the plan is subject to change but the goal is that eventually all American made Taylor’s will have V class bracing . ( Bob said that in the latest issue of Wood & Steal)

Still hoping the V-class bracing will grace a revival of the former jumbo body series (315/c/ce, 415/c/ce, 515/c/ce, 615/c/ce, 815/c/ce and K25/c/ce; the 12-string versions are, respectively: 355/c/ce, 455/c/ce, 555/c/ce, 655/c/ce, 855/c/ce and K65/c/ce).

ClassicTVMan1981X The Grand Orchestra was designed to replace the Jumbo. So it likely won’t come back.

I own 6 Taylors 514ce ES1 (2004), 524CE Class (ES2), 2018, 614ce ES1 (2011), 714ce ES2 (2015), 814ce ES2 (2016) and 914ce ES2 (2015), I love the acoustic sound BUT, I don't know what Taylor made with this ES2, it sounds horrible, ES1 is OK, but ES2 is useless, In order to not sell the guitars (because I love the acoustic sound), I replaced the pickups of all ES2 by the LR Baggs Anthen Tru MIc, now I have the best of acoustic and plugged sound. Again, acoustically fantastic, pluggled sounds like a cheap guitar, any Japanese Takamine (plugged in sounds much better). I own as well 4 Martins, D35 50th (Lr baggs Anthem), D35e Retro (Fishman Enhance), OMC Aura (Fishman Aura), D41 with Fishman rare earth blend and 2 Gibsons, SJ200 2016 with LR baggs Anthem from factory and a J185 with Fishman prefix and few Takamines with CTP1, CTP2 and CTP3. I can say, all of them sounds a way better than ES1 and ES2, BUT ES2 is the worst one, it's horrible, Taylor should re-think about it, it's not possible that nobody complaint about the quality of sound of the ES2, I had to use pedals like equalizer, Boss AD2 and TC Helicon Bodyrez to change the sound of the ES2 as much as possible, than I decided to change the pickup once for all, much happier now. Again acoustically perfect, plugged in really bad. You guys can do a better job and make a pickup that matches with the guitar quality you sell. Thanks

I usually play only one guitar at a time. And it sounds better every time when I tune it up spot on, and spend more time to practice. And sometimes it's better when I replace the dead battery in the preamp, and when I don't sing flat. I don't know how Taylor Guitars stays in business either. Cheers.

The guitar sounds great, but Jerry McPherson could make most guitars sound super. But how about that RECORDING BOARD the engineer is sitting behind?

I question the value of someone testing an acoustic guitar while wearing headphones.

What better way to hear than to have a great mic in front of the sound hole and the proceeds pumped into both sides of your head? What, leaning over the guitar in a room too big to reflect sound back at ya?
@navjohn1
@navjohn1 6 жыл бұрын
Maybe actually hearing the guitar, not some amplified, processed, artificial version. If I want all that, I'll play an electric. When I play an acoustic, I play it naturally, without amplification. That's what I'd want to hear while testing it.@@cybernautsterranautsandast2151

Thanks for your insight John. When I play acoustic, it’s for session work. How it sound in the room falls second place to how it sounds on the record. I have an old Vox acoustic with a plywood top that sounds simply AWFUL in the room. But it records great!
@524coconut
@524coconut 3 ай бұрын
In that room you probably can’t hardly hear anything. The vibrations just get absorbed into the wall. So the only way to hear is to use a monitor like he’s doing.
