Notice how the mask always appears to be smiling. Behind it he's not smiling, but the mask can provide the illusion of strength and stability, and without it there is no allure to V. Within that there is a certain amount of truth about humanity, and so long as the mask doesn't become a face then we can value its sincerity.

@radiobath so true, goodness, I never thought it that way, that if Evey didn't want it, the revolution wouldn't happen...that was a grand gift to give, since V planned it for 20 years, ...this movie has so much depth into it...a tell people as a joke that I would refuse to talk to V without a dictionary at hand, but seriously speaking, the more I think about it, the more I feel attached to the character V, I almost teared up after reading your comment...

The title is so perfect for them, they're made for each other :( why did he have to die, couldn't have just leave with her, oh tragedy.
