He wasn't the first cast. James Purefoy was originally cast and they shot for six weeks before he dropped out. Some of the scenes are still Purefoy with Weaving dubbed in over in adr.
@vaibhav073 ай бұрын
@@RLplusabunchofdumbnumbers I didnt know that. James Purefoy doesnt have the intonation and pronunciation that Weaving has. And for a role of a masked man on a mission, who is emotionally scarred, and highly learned, I think the burden of playing the character falls on the actors vocal skills rather than his expressions. I am sure James would've prepared extensively for that, but we will never see that and Weaving's natural voice and pronunciations were just amazing for this role.

Thats one of the greatest intros of all time, it made me cry when she talked about the man and inhumanity of ideas, the words she chose, was huge epiphanic hit for me. Shed light on how much we need each other, how our deepest feelings and moments are shared with mortals, the irreplacable value of those who are forgotten. Ideas are eternal but they arent humans, humans are destructable and forgotten but they color life. We're used to put ideas and immortality in such a high pedestal that individuals are seen as irrelevant and this is the first time i see this idea being challenged and humans being valued. This makes me really sad when i remember how awful humans are for each other, it's unnecessary.
@vladimirlukovac62622 ай бұрын
We are meant to seek understanding the eternal, but on that road we must always cherish our basic and mortal humanity and use it as a guiding light in our quest. If we start seeing human as irrelevant, it means we are on a wrong path. This is the starting grain of truth of Buddha's enlightenment.

Yeah, pretty much. He was a lab rat for a government program to make a bio weapon or a supersoldier, whichever one worked first. In the process he lost the ability to feel pain, and also suffered heinous burns across his body which is why he wears the mask. Trump is somewhat of a wildcard, both because he is wholly incompetent and also completely willing to take insane steps (like spending billions on a fucking wall that was never going to work while cutting thousands of government jobs to ensure he could keep tax cuts on the wealthy, which includes himself obviously), so he just ensures that inevitable end point comes sooner.
