Looked up an install video for my 2024 yz250 and came across this…..my VF3 was backwards from the manufacturer. Thank you sir

This is why the internet is awesome. Thanks for the heads up on this. Seems like common sense, but still one could easily overlook. Has anyone done any comparisons torque wise with the Boysen rad valve vs this Vforce?

I rode my yz one year without noticing that, thank you so much!

Any obstruction of intake or exhaust flow kills horsepower. In any vehicle.

Make sure the part number is facing up on the reed block.

I’m installing a new Vforce3 in my YZ250 and the old one was installed this way. Maybe I will get a big hp bump! Thanks

Don't know if you will get all that but it might run better and be easier to tune the carb.

I just had the same issue with mine

It should be keyed to prevent that

I just brought one today and I noticed this but what's happend was that when I started it the bike revved up to redline i think cause it wasn't sealed right and it had to much air coming into the motor

Either damaged Crankcase, loose crank seals, or someone had no idea how to reassemble the engine after rebuild. Intake reeds. Carburetor. Could be a million things ..

My yz 85 had them upside down based on your video, numbers on reed cage on bottom, looks symmetrical though so don’t know if it makes a difference on this bike? Hoping it’ll fix my hard start and jetting issues tho!

You probably have other causes to investigate.

Did you notice if all the reeds close all the way on the v force. I bought brand new v force reeds, pedals dont close n seal properly. The distributor wouldn't refund so they sit in my tool box taking up space. Wasted money 💰

There should be no gap. Try flipping the petals over. But note there are some counterfeit V Force from China being sold for well below normal retail price. So if you did not buy from a legit authorized dealer, it is possible that is what you bought. Why not just do a Return Case though eBay/Amazon (if that's where you bought it.) You will get your money back.

You won't be able to tell the difference between legit and counterfeit on it. We have seen it. 100% identical including packaging, stickers, owners manual, even the box is identical to the real thing.

Your cage assembly might be worn out though. Hard to say.
