Either the 4K streaming option of Netflix ( has atmos signal embedded in available content ) or blue Ray discs for example. It’s sad to see such folks posing as experts!

@@feyziwithnosurname7011 the source ( the video/audio that is being played should have atmos signal embedded in it. Normal DVDs, most OTT platforms in India dont have it except if using blue ray or Netflix in its highest package- the one that streams 4K provided the movie or series is also made with atmos. Eg is Extraction series.. (Something like a youtube video even in 4K does not have atmos encoded in it). Once the source signal has ATMOS encoded, if playing through TV, lets say a movie, the TV HDMI should have an eARC port that can pass an ATMOS signal and you should also have an HDMI cable that is certified to pass 4K ( cable is easy to find in Amazon) If all of these criteria are satisfied , then having an atmos speaker set up will give you atmos sound. Nowadays, you dont need a complicated ceiling speaker + receiver set up there are sound bars that can give atmos outputs eg: Sonos ARC which projects the sound to ceiling and sound reflects of it to give a psuedo ceiling speaker effect. Of course, the better way is to set up actual atmos speakers in the ceiling which in most houses is difficult unless you have a dedicated home theater space. The fact is ATMOS content is still catching up and will take 1-2 more years to be common in India, but once you hear it, its amazing!!

Don't sit in random positions, sit where you have calibrated the position with the remote if it supports that. For 5.1 channel 1 person can get the all effects. Effects don't mean volume nor bass.
