After enjoying a couple of weeks with family In Nara prefecture on the Japanese mainland,it's time for us to say goodbye and return to our home on the remote Southern island of Tanegashima.
After driving through the night and hopping on a ferry for the last leg of our journey,it feels good to be back on the island,surrounded by the ocean we love.
Upon returning to our old countryside house,we soon got busy unpacking,cleaning up and sorting out the farm and yardwork jobs which were in need of doing!
In the next video,we'll share with you our experience dealing with the quite destructive Typhoon Shan Shan which was fast approaching the island!

I thought of you and your house on the island with the typhoon. I saw that it made a close pass to the island. And btw, you are right about entering a correct frame of mind for chores. Today I had a yard to mow (I'm in Chicago) and also we needed to do some power washing at one of our properties. It took quite a long time but of course gratifying once complete--and here we had perfect late summer weather.

コメントありがとうございます。 私も虫が苦手でした😅 人間慣れるものでGぐらいならもう大丈夫です。巨大ムカデは今も嫌ですが😫 子供は、放っておいても楽しそうに遊んでいるし、虫も気にしていないようです（子供を見習わないと、と思う時がよくあります😆） 台風なんとか大丈夫でした☺️
