I used vray for my architectural projects, but since I started using corona renderer I forgot about vray, I love how corona renderer keeps things simple and you can setup your scenes quicker than vray, and yes, you may say why not use D5 render or lumion whatever, its just that they dont give me the quality I want.

Hello, Actually, when I'm comparing V-Ray to Corona Renderer, I lean towards V-Ray due to its status as one of the earliest and most influential render engines in the industry. While both share common functionalities, V-Ray offers a unique level of flexibility and control, particularly in its vast toolset and customizable configurations, from materials to scene setups. V-Ray's long-standing dominance in the market has led to a more developed and refined workflow, allowing for greater precision and adaptability in complex projects. While Corona is known for its user-friendly simplicity, V-Ray's depth and customization make it the superior choice for those who seek maximum control over their rendering process so in the end of it all, both are very powerful, dynamic, and versatile.

The Corona is indeed a bit more realistic in rendering, but why didn't you focus on Vray GPU rendering? after all, it is hundreds of times faster and it can be used not only for videos, but also for ordinary pictures, which speeds up the work at times.

This was a test under identical conditions. Certainly, using the techniques of each engine can achieve faster and more attractive results.

I love 3ds Max and Vray. I'm open to learning Corona but this comparison is weird. (I'm only 2 minutes into the video, and questioning if I should even continue.) ---- Are both Corona and Vray using denoiser? You complain about Vray losing detail but that is exactly why you should turn off denoiser.
@MIMVizStudio6 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment 🤍 This comparison is done under the same conditions and with the default criteria. Definitely, with more changes and the passage of time, I can reach the right output. In Corona, you can see the output of the work with a faster speed and reach the result.

Nice comparison. V-Ray was my main renderer back in the day before I switched to FStorm. Quality-wise, V-Ray hasn't been great for a while, though it's faster than Corona when tweaked (due to being biased). People still use V-Ray for its large asset library and features, but I can't recall a decent render straight out of V-Ray without heavy post-production. Could you do a FStorm vs. Corona comparison next?

Let's not forget we still are in brutal, primitive capitalism. So since Corona has been bought by it's main competitor, a big problem emerges and that is the future. Will Corona still be developed seriously or will it be allowed to wither and fade out? Something along the lines of what Foundry did to Modo...

Actually there is no compare between corona R and vray R because the first use path tracing that is more powerful than the ray tracing which vray use so corona dealing with lightning much more better than vray. I don't know why vray don't use the path tracing which I think it will be the future of the engine render in the future. But I think that chaos add corona to there company so they have the tow engine each with different types of algorithm (path&ray) tracing.

Hmm... both the render engine has their strengths and weaknesses, but being from blender background, their workflow gives me a headache. Its like constant fiddeling with controls and plugins. Whereas in cycles, you are done with just a few clicks. Also the realtime workflow is faster in cycles. Among Vray and Corona, corona looks a better choice, but that 3ds max workflow and its UI makes me wanna vomit on my PC everytime I open it.

@sambagyarta10 ай бұрын
On the contrary, I feel using blender is counterproductive to me. Importing from sketchup often gives me inconsistent accuracy (missing objects, improper quads, etc). And what makes me want to stick to 3ds max is the ability to group objects flawlessly and separate them by layers. In blender, you can use container, but putting objects in container takes lot of time. In my projects, grouping is a must, I have to make around 300+ groups on average before I start working on my scene. Also, the ability to access multiple professional 3d assets such as 3dsky, bendtrade, etc. is what separate professional archviz artist from hobbyist using blender.
@MIMVizStudio10 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment and opinion🙂@@sambagyarta
@jarvizstudio9 ай бұрын
@@sambagyarta Yeah I agree on the sketchup part but a good archviz artist will never look towards SketchUp other than just to import some assets which work quiet seamlessly with newer versions of sketchup importer plugin. I have never used grouping so I wont know how that works or make the life easier but I think most of those can be taken care of with the collections and also parenting. Different workflows I guess, but what I like is the ability to work without even moving my mouse to fiddle with the tabs and buttons and that clumpsy autodesk UI. Its the UI that bugs me the most and it just gives me headache. Also having a huge library is good but its also so much time consuming to select the objects. But blender is also catching up pretty fast with blenderkit and other libraries. Also the professional libraries have already started giving out their blender versions so that's not much of a big deal. So lets enjoy what we have build the best we can. All these opinions are my personal. I started by learning 3ds max but was quickly bored with so many windows, tabs and buttons and the UI that I had to drop and move to Cinema4d. And after that to blender. But its good that Vray is coming to blender too. Hopefully we will be able to enjoy the best of both the worlds.
