Will there be a 'send to Nuke' button in Maya or Max that does this automatically?

Just curious of what kind of workflow would be needed before going to Vray for nuke when working on scene composed of thousand of différents object. In other word, how to manage a complex scene in Vray for nuke in a look dev phase.

+Julian Horlaville This is an excellent question! We will be creating more videos to address workflow and how to deal with things like this in the coming weeks. Our next video will be dealing with importing geometry and may begin addressing your question to some point. With lots of geom, we always like to suggest using V-Ray Proxies, and this is touched on the next video, that should be posting in the next day or so.

ChaosGroupTV Thanks for your answer. Unfortunally i am looking for a way to work with Assets like cars that are composed of thousand of différents object and that can not be convert in Vray proxy in the type of workflow we are used to in maya for instance. For a car, we can not combine geometry by shader because there is a lot of feedback from clients on shader assignation. In the end, i am really interested by using Vray inside of nuke, but i can't imagine doing the work i do without an outliner type of way to access geometry and change the look dev of complex scene. So Vray proxy are great, but not for my type of work.

How can I get my Hairfarm hair into Nuke - this is amazing

+Stephen Davidson If HairFarm has export to Alembic, then you can load that through a V-Ray proxy.
