Hi ,so do you always suggest using Auto camera settings, rather than aiming for a manual camera?Does the camera exposure that defined manually affects the auto camera?

wouldnt the dome light and sunlight cause too much exposure on the materials if both of the lighting elements' options for affect diffuse is turned on?

I dont understand the part using both Sunlight and Dome light. What if you use only dome light or sunlight as the only light source in the scene?

how can you do that without using any additional light? For example in all my scenes I am putting many rectangle lights otherwise some areas get so dark? Also vray 4.0 is rendering so slow my file is around 300mb and frame buffer gets opened but doesn't render immediately I tried with GPU it didn't work. Can anyone help me?

Hello, how do i build a professional bright interior ?? I'm using: Camera exposure, Sun Settings, Rectangle Light, but still can't generate a professional bright interior, i apply also render correction control settings. I believe that i'm missing something with rectangular lighting or is there any other feature or trick that i'm not using ??

Why you didn't talk aboutthe environment texture in the lights tab? I guess it is the reason why your render is different from mine.

Thank You so much! Let ask one question. In my scene, there's no direct sun rays to the window and how should I render this scene realistic? Cause in real life, there's a normal situation if the sun doesn't shine directly in window - the room anyway has a lot of daylight and how to emulate this in vray? Cause the scene is too dark without directional sunlight. Thanks

Hi thank you for this great tutorial. I have a question regarding sun light. For some reason I don't get much light from it, unless I increase the strength. I played with times, dates, and face the room to the south, so not sure what is wrong..

Turn off other lights, then render. If it's dark, change the exposure setting to a lower number. It was 8 or 9 in this video, but depends on each scene of course. Also make sure your windows aren't opaque (they're excluded from the material override) or the sun/hdri will never shine into the room to start with.

@peterchaushev7269

The environment background texture only contributes to the global illumination (GI) which in most situations is not sufficient for lighting an interior scene properly (may result in splotchiness). In previous versions of V-Ray for SketchUp setting up Portal lights was required to provide quality illumination in closed spaces. With Dome Light's Adaptive feature, there's no need to do any of that anymore. The Dome Light will provide sufficient and accurate direct lighting in the interior without costing any additional render time. Furthermore, as mentioned in the tutorial narrative, the Dome Light brings some additional options on its own.
