This is good to know. My wife and I are playing we tried to take on the Bandit king and got smoked. I did it solo with no issues. Brought her back for a full kill and noticed it wasn't nearly as smooth. Great videos!

If it helps. We did Octavio last night. My friend solo'd and I swooped in like a Hero and landed the killing shot, a single arrow to the leg. The boss was in my viewable range with the mouse hover over and that seemed to be considered a solo experience. I don't think the range needs to be too far to be considered solo. My theory is as long as you don't do damage to the boss or take damage from the boss, but I can't confirm that.

Maybe it's Bosses agro range that triggers it, like He does not see you and the mechanic is not triggering, as you get near him, he spots you and you get included in his fight. Maybe try to get near Wolf or Bear bosses in Wolf form and your Clanmate starts a battle, or you get there in the middle of the battle and see if it stays SOLO fight, you can also stay at a distance of Boss, while Climate fights it and slowly get closer, to find when the system adds you to a fight.

I solo'd him with the generals reaper, chaos volley and that shield that summons skeletons, got him down to 1hp and then he killed me but my summoned skeleton came in clutch and killed him. I quickly respawned and ran back to the arena and he was downed and I was able suck his blood, I was so happy another player didn't come a long and get to him first lol

This is a very interesting idea on many levels. The way this mechanic is designed suggests to me that in the future we might see this game's version of "raids" or certain bosses who drop different things based on how highly they are scaled up. And allowing the use of servants to serve as other players to upscale bosses on offline solo playthroughs.

Have you mentioned in any of your videos that people with bat form can fly over any unroofed castle walls? Learned a huge lesson when I got into my PvP server today- I noticed all of my valuables gone, prisoners killed, etc. without any walls knocked down or doors open. Did not know "bat form" could fly so high and entirely over your base.

Bat form cannot land on any claimed tiles, its not about if your base has a roof or not. Lets say you built on a hill and only put doors on the way up but the back side of the hill is unclaimed and you left is completely open someone could land there.

What potentially happened (ive seen this happen to people on my server) is that you didnt put a servant lock on the doors that leads out into the world, your servants may have opened the door and then boom people can come in freely as long as they wait for the dumb ai to open it for them. Tldr use servant locks or you will loose all your shit

Also funny story. Last night we went to kill Jade the Vampire Hunter (also keep in mind, I don't remember alot of the boss names) However as we were working down Jade, the roaming Graylock the Human Merchant guy showed up and started engaging. Then the level 40 Priestess that heals showed up and started fighting us, the battle then ran into the daytime. It was an Add nightmare. We had to obviously reset and try again...lol. However I found it so entertaining that the adds kept showing up.

You can get a low level version of that in Farbane with Tristan the Vampire Hunter, Lydia the Chaos Archer, and the Alpha Wolf. I've also seen Stone Golems, Treants, and even a specific Militia Berserker spawn join in, even to the point where they kill Tristan.

yep, also had this happe to me while fighting the lower vampire hunter (?tristan) and the chaos archer came in halfway through. i barely survived by using a decayed castle, kiting around the walls

As long as you are in range while someone sucks the Boss V blood you will get credit for the kill and get whatever the Boss gives. You don't need to be there for any part of the fight

I was like level 41, minding my business mining some iron.. then I noticed a huge battle between a holy archer chick and an Undead commander.. I watched the fight, the chick was way more higher leveled than the commander but the commander tore her up.. just before the final blow I went and got the last hit on her and finished her off. I killed the undead commander as well.. and then things went back to peace and quiet and I continued my mining.. This game really makes you feel like a scavenger some times

Isn't that over level for the area? I used to lure those two together when I was like ~30 lvl. The archer is easy to dodge but hits hard, the undead guy is mobile and rushdown heavy, I'd just sit on the edges and throw magic at whoever would be winning, until I could cheese the kills.

if ur lucky a mob will patrol into a boss and kill it for you. also my only advice as a solo player is to keep ur gear levelling, do paper runs to unlock upgrades (special weapon plans can drop that give extra stats over just weapon dmg) and use blood buffs, potion buffs and healing potions, avoid day fights, clear nearby areas (mobs can patrol anywhere in a lot of cases) use basically everything in the arsenal.

ive had almost the exact opposite experience, Polara was kicking my ass solo, died several times, brought in a cpl friends, and we one shot her easy. Same story with the spider queen and others. The ability to dip out and heal up while your friends have aggro on the boss , and the ability to rez each other offsets any mechanic changes in my experience.

Other people can be in the area as long as they don’t have the combat debuff (looks like 2 swords in the bottom right ui). As soon as they enter combat in the boss area it counts as a multiplayer scaling. And yeah we figured out the hard way that multiplayer is so much harder (but can be cheesed by going out and mending then going back in).

Brightcaller is AIDS AF! I've tried her in the mines multiple times, just grabbing her at 50% HP and she immediately summons adds out the ass. I have tried different builds, even research dumped and potted up to max. Last effort now is I am going to try a mage build. Wish me some dang luck before I delete this game from the library.

I was lvl 23 and got a Lydia kill completely by accident solo. I happen to run up on Lydia fighting Alpha as their paths crossed while she was walking the road. So I range attack Lydia. Then all of sudden close to me on the three way road intersection Goreswine the Ravager spawned and a three way fight started. I back the hell out of there with speed, stood a bit back just watching from a distance and that was chaos fight to watch. Goreswine won and walked off. Ran up and looted Lydia 😂.

Use max Crossbow with the double-chaos jump. Works wonders for me with repositioning and just having crits. Also take Brute Blood ideally at max for lifesteal.

We went for Octavian with 4 of us and that jerk summoned soo many archers on us that we legit struggled with the flame-arrow firing archers more than the boss himself.

Its based on being "in combat" with the boss i believe. I play on a pretty sweaty server and on wipe day there was like 15 people trying to do alpha wolf, that thing must've had like 100k HP

The first time I ever did Styx I went on blood moon, took a potion and 100% blood. I used purgatory to heal myself and the reaper. Got him down to 3/4 health solo before my friend finally got there to help me with him. So I went back on a normal night with a friend, no blood and no potion and he beat our asses 3 times before we took him down.

the bosses will also summon extra adds on your adds. i was using ward of the damed on the behemoth and got 4 bears and 4 wolfs. 2 players 2 skeletons were in play when adds were summoned. we wiped.

i killed clive, bandit king, polora and the ravager at 21 in a single run, one after another. also killed cristian the vampire hunter at 37. all solo. these are very simple, dont let the boss fight music scare you. the key is not getting hit. never go melee range no matter what. i didnt even use crossbow ever. just be patient and you will kill them.note that most of the bosses will kill you in a neck to neck fight even you are 20 levels above. this is not world of warcraft, follow the boss mechanics. pathing bosses are the easiest since you can choose the terrain. find a big rock, circle around it with the boss. hit when you have the chance and keep doing circles. this worked for me until mountain terror. good luck.

you say pathing bosses are easier but nothing is worse then trying to fight the Deathmarshal and an invisible werewolf comes up behind you and gets in on the fight, or when the militia shows up in the middle of your Jade fight

We've 3manned 90% of the bosses. Having 3 ultimates makes things a lot easier, especially with the golem you get from Terah My pro tip if you're having trouble with a boss, choose abilities that summon your own adds I.E. sheild of the damned, a literal life saver. And any of the dashes that leave a decoy behind will help you with drinking potions.

Shield of the Damned is a life saver! I'm usually playing solo in PvP servers, so once i got it for the first time, i'm always going after bosses with it, because the ad distracts them and we can get a few free hits! :)

I find any boss with fire attacks are super hard. Ferocious Bear, Tristan etc. I have gear level 10 levels higher and still struggle. Other v bosses that are actually higher or the same gear level, were much easier for me.

I've always wondered that. I'd be inclined to say no just because of how the servant conversion and expertise mechanics works, but just wondering if you knew for sure.

I find the bosses in this not fun to fight at all. Movement is slow as hell, bosses are like, always faster than you, and the majority of them have attacks that force you to move for 80% of the fight, making you rely on hit and run/long range tactics. Hit and run is boring, especially with the slow movement speed, and I don't like going mainly long range. Like, a typical boss fight for me will go, dodge dodge dodge dodge dodge, get 1 or 2 hits in before they move away taking off maybe 4% of their health, repeat for 8 min. Or I'll get pushed out of their combat area trying to dodge (like with Clive), and they heal. Or I'll just die. And the Q ability on the spear is pointless, since they'll just attack you while taking the dmg and you come out on the losing side of that encounter. It just turns into a slog, especially since you need to beat them to unlock things.

early bosses were good fun for me, then i got to mid/late ones an silverlight zone an it all changed, i found no enjoyment in the game at all at that point, anything to do with combat was just a ball ache (queue the ass hat git gud pricks) gear seems like a sidegrade more than an upgrade, i mean lv70 an it still takes 3-6 hits with a normal attack to kill a wolf...yet if you are lv20 an go against a 40 it's a damn near 1 hit kill to you lol

Is there any mechanics to get rid of castles that no longer in use on pve server? I am too far in the game to leave the server now. I had make a base that I can't expand beyond 90 floor tiles. I asked them to clear old unused accounts since the server over crowded and they don't like that idea.

If you are talking about your own castle you would have to remove all claimed tiles then destroy your castle heart. If you are talking about other peoples castles you can only get rid of them in PvP

Thats supposedly Dracula's old castle site and will likely be added in later, More likely than not as a hot contested PVP zone with good loot and sub bosses, etc. where you wont be able to build if I was a betting man.

You should generally try to have both the Merciless Armour and Weapon for the gear level you are currently on. You can still do bosses if they are gear levels above you.

Semi related question with some background. When I was playing in our private server solo, I was rinsing through bosses and areas. Now my friend has joined and we clanned up, but I'm not making any further progress. I'm about 10 gear level above the boss I need to beat, but it's like they have a huge amount of HP and mobs are everywhere. This happens even when my friend isn't online and I'm back to solo. Sidenote - i do still see my friends name and health bar on the left side of the screen, even when he's logged out. Could this be an issue or something or am I delusional? Thanks all!

You're "delusional", having clan mates doesn't alter bosses its based on how many people are hitting that boss. If you are fighting a boss solo it has its unmodified health. I say this in the kindest way but it is just a "get gud" issue. Personally I was doing bosses equal or even lower than the bosses gear score solo so if you are higher gear score they should be doable.

AIDS is a term used (probably mostly in the United States) that just means they are terrible, cancerous, painful, deadly, irritating, etc... Much like having AIDS/HIV, where the term came from. It's "AIDS" because nobody likes dealing with it! An example would be, "Dude, have you seen Joe?" "Nah, he is straight up AIDS bro, I stay away from that guy."

From my experience yes, you can juggle aggro; I believe that it scales based on how many people are in combat with it, and it scales back down. We tested this based on a few bosses that summon more creatures the more players there are and we were able to correctly juggle.

Kill all the other bandits in the camp first. Juice up with good blood (maybe creature type for the extra movement speed) and start the fight somewhere amongst the tents, NOT in a big open space. Get behind obstacles when she’s doing the frost arrows. Hit her with your ranged magic between her attacks. Prioritize avoiding hits over doing damage and you’ll whittle her down.

I've found staying at range works best, learn the fight well enough to dodge most of the mechanics and profit. My gear score is like 33 due to my luck being bad getting gear recipe drops and limited playing time but I've killed Quincey the bandit king with some patience. Doesn't help that as a lefty I still haven't figured out a kb layout that works well for me but I'm getting there.

Demone, i have a question Me and my friends went on a unofficial server at the start of the game, we didn't know at that time, and around level 70-80 we noticed that the admins started to change stuffs at their will, constant crashes of the server and so on, we were tired of that, so we wanted to start fresh on another server, we tried the official ones, but there was no place to build a castle it was already day 500ish, we tried heading to another unofficial server and we leveled up up to 30ish, but one of the players started complaining that this server was just wiped, and that he just lost all his weekend on that, so as of fear we quitted that server as well Now as of my question - ¿What do we do? i'm tired of starting over and over again, out of fear of something happening to that server, and the official servers there are no room for us.

Bruh at gear lvl 67 the spider keeps destroying me. The adds she spawns hit so hard. If you get hit by 3 at once you just die. Help

Destroy all the egg first before fighting the boss. If the spider Queen took aggro, u just reset it. Destroying all the eggs helps a lot. Make sure to have a healing skill & pots and chaos bolt is a must.

My buddy stays close while I solo the bosses. I like the increased damage and mechanics. I find it harder when someone hits the boss and pulls aggro cause it interfers with my kiting. I use the chaos line skill set with the generals reaper e and when my dash is still on cooldown I just use the reapers q to slap the boss away.

Whereas the information is nice, you didn't really give any tips for the bosses. Aside from a couple "this one is a push over" and "this one is a nightmare", your only real tip is "play solo" Not that information on the scaling and mechanic changes isn't nice, like I said.. but, that's.. not what the title implies lol

Can you make a guide as to which weapons we should equip to each converted npc? Like lightweavers, idk what weapon they would use, spear? Or clerics, seems they wield a 1hd mace but we only get a 2hd. Do the weapons really matter? Has this been tested?

The different weapons you give a servant don't matter, they won't use it. It is only to boost their gear score so they do more damage. They will use their skillset and weapons as found in the wild.
