OMG 😲 This cup turned out GORGEOUS 😍! I actually had heard someone say applying the Vinyl with the wet method but I had no idea how it was done, thank you for showing it! I am definitely going to try this one! Thank you 😊

Thank you so much Phyllis! Lately I’ve also been using window/glass cleaner. If you watch some of my newest videos you’ll catch a glimpse of that. The suds allow the vinyl to slide around even easier than just water! Glad you found this one helpful! Thanks for watching!

Lol same! One of my viewers mentioned it so I tried it and it works like a charm! Just make sure it dries out completely before applying your Brite Tone layers! 😊

Next time put a tiny drop of dish soap in with your water..that will help move your vinyl around easier..works for me..this cup is so beautiful!!!

Ahhhhh thank you so much for that tip Jackie!! Yeah I felt that the vinyl was still pretty tacky while trying to apply...lol I appreciate you watching and commenting! Thanks again! :)

You can also spray your vinyl on the back with winder. I am new to wood grain and finally learned how to make wood knots on them
@vonellevanzant2373 жыл бұрын
Very pretty! I loved your technique. I always thought the service technique needed a stop of Dawn dish soap. Is that what your bowl had? I use resin, but I understand the attraction of Crystalac.

Can you tell me more about it.... is it a liquid in the tub and you just poured it in the squeeze bottle? Does it apply like epoxy on a tumbler?
@karenbaskettdiyer3 жыл бұрын
Yes it's thinner than epoxy therefore it takes more layers. Comes in tub and I just use a funnel to transfer it into my $1 squeeze bottle. It cleans up with water. In fact last night I had a tumbler that I had just put on the turner like 10 minutes before and I heard a loud thud! I ran in to check and my cup had worked it' way off the turner into the carped. I grabbed it and quickly washed it off with water and reapplied! Had that been epoxy .... which happened to me before...my cup was ruined and so is my carped from that epoxy! ANOTHER perk to Brite Tone!!! Easy clean up!

Where can I find a tumbler that's removable while spinning? I have several turners, but can't take it off during the process . What do you use?
@karenbaskettdiyer Жыл бұрын
All the ones I have are from Amazon. I have to remove a screw to take the arm off of all of mine. I know there are some that just pop off but I don’t have any like that. You might search on Amazon though.

Beautiful! What transfer tape do you use?

Thanks Trisha! In this video I used the Opaque transfer tape from Expressions Vinyl. I buy it by the roll and I really like it. My next order I'm gonna snag some of their clear gridlined. I have a $5 off coupon link in the description below if you decide to try it! Thanks so much for watching!

Love the tumbler! Question.. Does the CrystaLac feel the same as epoxy when it’s dry? Is it slick feeling or can you feel the vinyl or glitter through the crystalac?
@karenbaskettdiyer3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Wendy! No you cannot feel your vinyl or glitter.... it has a very smooth finish if you apply correctly. Just like with epoxy there's gonna be trial and error. You just apply layers until you achieve the smooth surface. :) BIG plus.... NO micro bubbles to deal with!!! LOL

Does the cup turn out as good as it does it’s epoxy?
@karenbaskettdiyer3 жыл бұрын
Hi Edith.... In my opinion yes. Not sure if you have watched my Sea Turtle tumbler tutorial or not. It was done with epoxy. I just finished up one today with Crystalac and it is simply BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!! Super shiny, lightweight and I even did a video of the whole process. I should have that video released either tomorrow morning or on Thursday.

So are you no longer using epoxy?
@karenbaskettdiyer3 жыл бұрын
I haven't on my last 8 tumblers and it's seriously been amazing for me! I still have several "applications" of epoxy left that I had planned to use up but I'm feeling so much better and don't want to even open them and encounter that smell or deal with any issues that it was causing me.
@latanyawilson88623 жыл бұрын
@@karenbaskettdiyer oooh ok understand.. Doesn't it take much longer to complete a cup & ship? Do you make only RTS or custom orders as well? When using this what is the time line start to finish, then ship? I hope that's ok to ask.
@karenbaskettdiyer3 жыл бұрын
@@latanyawilson8862 I do both.. customs and RTS. To be really honest I'm only about 3 weeks in with using the Brite Tone and I tell my customers no matter what product I'm using up to 3 weeks turnaround time. I currently have 5 BT cups in the works since last Wednesday and they should all be done today or tomorrow. I work from home and just apply a new layer every 4 hours and continue to work on other things in the meantime. I've quit counting layers.. it's really about smooth coverage and protection. You can ship them about 5-7 days after completion. I hope I answered all your questions. :)
