I’m a nail tech and you’re exactly right I work in a fast pace salon and many of my coworkers just want to get people in and out and not take as much time with clients. That’s why mine will wait a long time for me or come back if I’m not here. Their nails break when others do them but not me. My motto is to do people’s nails as I would do mine. Treat customers as i would want to be treated. It’s simple but they don’t take time to do intricate work like this or care to. It’s a job. It’s an art to others like myself. Takes many years of practice to do work like this and perfect your skill. This work is just beautiful and I love it great job.

Beautiful set! I’ve never really been into the whole v shape until now. 😍 I’ve seen in other videos how instead of putting on the nude acrylic on the whole nail and taking it off, you would just shape the nude acrylic into the v shape and then paint on the white part of the v shape. Not sure which method is better but I guess what matters is the outcome 🥰

Yes I paint on my v-shape also it's easier for me ....but it's the client preference ...I guess her request was acrylics only .. just my guess

How do you get your acrylic to stay wet enough to cut? I feel like mine dries too fast 😏 I use young nails monomer and notpolish acrylic

I try to make sure my acrylic is somewhat wet. Also you want to make sure you’re working faster when it comes to longer nails due to the fact that longer nails take longer to do so it tends to dry faster

Is it the exacto knife? It is a little intimidating but you can always shape the acrylic into a v the best you can and sharpen it by filing it until you get comfortable with it. Or full it out my bf did that for me and it was smooth sailing after

I’ve never seen an exacto-knife used on nails before, that is very creative and innovative. You are very good at centering the point; that’s not as easy as you make it look. Also, I like the way your work is always in frame; I can’t relax watching some other nail techs work because they tend to veer out of frame apparently without realizing it. Yours is perfect. I like the way you make sure your bead is not ultra wet with monomer; it makes me nervous when some techs don’t that because getting it on the skin can cause contact dermatitis over time. It makes me think they didn’t take the time to educate themselves on proper liquid to powder ratio. Your work is impeccable. Doing nails this Well is time consuming; do your hands ever get tired?
