V-Twin Model Engine Build - All Metal Mini Engine

Here is another model engine build, this time its a V-twin engine, also known as a V2 engine. Although widely associated with motorcycles, V-twin engines have also been used in industrial applications and in several small cars. The original V-twin design dates back to the late 1880s.

After laying out all the parts I begin to assemble this engine, no gaskets or bearings are required for this kit, but I did grease all the friction surfaces so the engine wouldn't bind.

To mimic an air cooled engine at least have the propeller blowing in the right direction (the prop is on backwards) and time the valve train. Had valves opening and closing mid stroke.

On this model it is not used as an alternator (only dummy), on other versions it powers an LED on top of the engine.
