Or when you bite them, it will show their nickname instead of what it says currently, which is PackName 6M or whatever. I suspect they won't add nametages to rival wilves because it would make them too easy to spot above their head.

This game just amazes me on how better it is getting. There are a lot of simulation games or other games that Involve survival that don't have a lot and the devs don't bother updating the game to be better and more enjoyable. You guys do a lot, and it's very much appreciated, I can't wait to see more :)

My daughter is obsessed with this game, she goes on my computer to complete the game even though she has TONS of homework to do! I find it astonishing she even gets it done even really late into the night! Truly unusual she is, but yes, she loves the game with all her heart and can not stop talking about the up coming Saga coming from you guys, keep up the good work!!!

This is a great example of how seemingly simplistic features can actually be very hard to make. I assume many people would think that just because you can't see all the stuff rival packs are doing, that it doesn't take a lot of time to code in and smooth out. The background logic necessary for such things to work is no joke! 😅 Seriously great job guys!

Love the new beta, however i have noticed that 'known wolves' system kind of gives away when a stranger wolf attack is happening since there is a message telling you when you meet a new wolf. other than that im enjoying it!!

Thanks! You only get the alert the first time... so there will still be surprise attacks. :D

Look at it this way: Your wolf gets noseblind to wolves they know or scent often. A new, unusual wolf-scent is a lot more alarming than a wolf you've met before, so that alert could be interpreted as your wolf going "That's not one of the smells that's typically here. That gives me the heebies."

This will make encountering other wolves, especially when looking for a mate, a lot easier and much cooler. Can't wait to keep an eye on certain wolves to see what's happening around the map XD

I love being able to follow the development throughout the years, and getting to see the balancing between realism and gameplay. Wolfquest has come a long way from those early days way, way back in 2007 thanks to the team behind it. It might not be the biggest or flashiest game out there, but you can feel the heart, love and careful consideration that's been put into its code.

I'm new to the AE version of the game, didn't even know all of this wasn't in the game before, but I love it! Definitely good features, I'm excited to see more realistic features like being able to steal or even...kill, if you wanted to get revenge or something... another wolf's pup, recruit stranger wolves into the pack, have your grown pups be able to greet you and stuff when older, etc. As well as even more in depth story mechanics or features to make it an even more fun game to play, and have it not be completely repetitive every time or something, so it's easier to come back to. I wish to one day see mods for those who've played the game for a very long time and everything it has to offer, maybe even a private modding space, or multiplayer only type thing, but sadly i've heard that probably won't be a thing, at least right now. I do as well hope the everything that normally happens in the wild and stuff stay free and not a payed for dlc, but I understand if not.

This probably will go unseen by most lol but I have plenty of fantasies I would love to see brought to the game like many of us and I could say so many but I’ll only say one… followed by a couple questions lol I know it’s probably been mentioned before, maybe in a different way. But, I would love for us to be able to take over our pack as one of our subordinates if we were to die. Like, not starting a whole new game as a two year old wolf from the pack that just lost its Alpha (our initial wolf).. instead taking it over and having to find a dispersal mate to help with the remaining pack member(s) who stay behind to help raise whatever pups are left at that moment. Man I would love that lol even if we could only do it once per family tree to keep a pack legacy going just a little longer! I don’t think that’s not realistic and/or sims like, right? Also, how will playing with a second generation wolf work out in the Saga? Do you have to keep your pup alive till 2 years old in order to disperse with them? If so I’m not mad at it I love the realism lol thanks for working so hard!!

And it answered my question with another great addition. The ability to disperse your wolf as a yearling before two years. This game is outrageous!

But that would probably involve like expanding the world and stuff so I guess it would be pretty hard. The only thing is, i want to toggle the numbered names on or off, even if its just for your pack, i think giving the player control over that will be a good thing, maybe its just me but i really dont need to know the id number of my wolves because they all have names i use for them. I understand others play differently but i play very rp heavy and the numbers get in the way for me personally. However specifically for the loner wolves and rival pack wolves i feel this is a great feature. (I already try to name and use rival wolves in game as actual characters instead of NPCs so this is gonna be FANTASTIC for rp purposes)

I'm so proud of y'all, this is turning out greatly! Just a small question though: when the pups are grown up, will predators show up? If yes, do you know how frequently (if it changed or not of course)? Also, probably bears/cougars/wolves, not coyotes, they might be too small for a wolf pack. And about strangers, if they attack, will their number depend on your pack's wolves number? One last thing, summarizing: if yes, will the grown up pups protect themselves/attack? Sorry for many questions, I'm just curious! Great job, as always, keep it up :D

I have a question: if one of my wolves encounters someone from an opposing pack, will the aged up pup of my wolf have the possibility of remembering the wolves that his parents encountered? If the aged up pup resides in the same map as his parents, will the dispersals and stranger wolves be the same as they were for said pup's parents? Or will an entirely new pack with different wolves spawn? I hope my question was understandable, if you anything was unclear I'm happy to clarify!

It is only a MP thing. If you were to play as an adult pup, it would be a new game with new packs and territories etc.

Along with any pack member(s) who stick around afterwards. I know it may be hard to do or sound like I’m being picky, I’m not and I’m being very patient. I’m very appreciative in the WolfQuest team! Regardless, pups growing up and staying with the pack is really all any of us wanted!!

I love WolfQuest so much! Ive been playing it for three years now. It's great! I have 49 generations of wolves.. And this is where it starts. So I was just plwying WolfQuest as usual.. Just playing with my pups. Of course, attacks happen.. And this is where the problem starts. So uh.. Crevice Lake said no peace and scared me to death when the attack music started.. I had water infront of me. Guess what happened next. You can only do that during the courting phase, if you want a divorce youd have to kill them lol by taking them near bison or something. I would feel too guilty to do so tho lol
