I really like this video. Few years back it took me 3 days to figure out how to set up to come close to get my initial powder charge with the Lee Auto Powder Drum plus didn't realize each drum was different. I thought one was a spare..lol

Lol. I can see how that could happen. Thank you, brother. Highboy

Just thought I’d fill you in that plug on the rifle drum makes it 3-40grains, but I like it because it starts you off at three grains, which is quicker to set for most 9mm loads.

Dude thank you. I was struggling. Trying to reload 38 and had the rifle drum in and didn’t realize it. First throw prob 70 grains of silhouette and it went everywhere jamming up the press making a mess on the bench. Using the dipper to “rough in” the powder charge is an awesome idea and works great. I think I threw 3-4 charges to dial in then 4 more to verify the charge was accurate. I’ve single stage reloaded for many years but this is my first progressive press. I do think I’m going to get several powder drums and just have them set up for my most used loads. I’m not sure I’ll reload 9mm. I don’t think the cost savings/time equation works out when I can spend that time loading for 38 40 44 45. I’ve kinda got into revolvers lately.

So you dont have to pour the powder into the little bottle. The Lee funnel with the on/off function was designed to fit right on top of 1 pound powder cans. Its super handy.

These are the only powders I've ever used. With my 357 and 44, I always used Blue Dot. My 9mm I use power pistol.

Hobby Lobby took my man card. It is the artsey part of me that draws me to the store. I'm much better at reloading and gunsmithing. I do try to help the wife in interior decorating. Had leakage with H110/Win296 with my first generation Lee auto power dispenser. Have not used since then.

This Lee Six Pack pro. Is it a 4000 or the 6000 kit version? What's the difference between them? Amazon shows both. I'm looking at the kit for 9mm. There is a $100 difference between the two. Jeff

I've been looking on Lee site. They have the six pack pro kit for 9mm listed as #91901. Is that going to include everything you have on your press. Case feed tubes and so on? I didn't see them being part of the listed items on the site. I'd like it set up like yours. We'll include all the same parts anyway but for 9mm. Thanks, Jeff D

You may want to call Lee because I ordered the kit for 45 acp. I saw the kit part number 90901 that you are referencing and I am thinking it will come with everything that mine came with. Highboy

Ok so new at progressive reloading and just got me the Lee 6 pack in .223. I only plan on using this press for .223 and 9mm. My question is do I need to get a different rotation rod that goes through the shell plate when I change to 9mm ? Thanks for any help.
@76Highboy Жыл бұрын
No. Use the same rod. Highboy

Wondering if you had any issues getting an accurate powder dump? I don’t know if it’s because I am loading for 223 or what. I am loading with CFE .223 powder and getting a difference anywhere from 24.50 grain to 25.55 I am shooting for 25 grain. I’ve ran about 1 pound of powder through it and still not even close to being consistent. Any ideas? Thanks

That's why I either load my rifle on a Dillon, or on my Redding T7 turret where I can weigh each charge. Highboy

@@76Highboy well, I have messed with it some more like I say I am new to this and I don’t believe I was getting a full stroke. I’ve got it within a couple tents one way or the other so it’s getting there.

I'm having the same problem. I'm using the 4 hole turret press for loading .308. It seems that the slight jerking action the measure experiences while the press head is cycles is causing the powder to compact different amounts every time... Haven't figured out a solution as of yet.
