Amazing and fascinating piece of engineering. I would really like to see it in the flying model! Congratulations guys.

The clamp on the right-hand side of the board popped off from the engine vibrations. The motor is bolted to the board and the clamps hold the board to the table.

The first supersonic planes were not collapsing due to incorrect shaping, they were becoming difficult to control due to shapes sizes and positioning of control surfaces and trim tabs they also learned by coke bottling the fuselage it eliminated a large amount of drag coming from pressure wave building in certain places on the fuselage

the double star i guess. would like to see the v12 in a scale RC plane though :D both really nice engines, probably the best minature IC engines i have seen.

@christiaan12nl i think the propellar broke.. at beginning you can see theres a small damage on one side of the prob... after a time more parts got ripped off and the balance broke... i just think so... because at the second run theres a new propellar on it
@gtafan200615 жыл бұрын
you could probably build a light twin engine homebuilt aircraft with those radial engines like a smaller version of a beach d-18 or something like that those props would most likely produce enough thrust to get a person airborn especially if they were variable pitch props

prodrift lol, you're so right! Well it's just human nature. One posts a silly comment, and others have to "correct" with another silly one (and I certainly include myself). Bottom line, the actual motors in the actual video above are fantastic! Wish they'd be available in greater numbers.

@heppmonsta There are actually two engines shown in the video. The first one which you say is an "O-12" is a 14 cylinder twin-row radial engine (cylinders are oriented radially outward from the crankshaft). The second engine, which appears at 3:20 is the true V-12. Hope this helps....

Ich verstehe nicht, wie der Motor kann so ruhig. Dies scheint ein echtes Video. Herausragende. Wie viele Kilowatt ist der Motor streckte? Glückwünsche I do not understand how the engine can be so quiet. This appears to be a real video. Outstanding. How many kilowatts does the engine put out?

is that V12 meant for a RC plane or are you just using the propeller to act as a flywheel of some sort? thanks, not a RC guy, I like bigger engines, but saw this video by coincidence

Great engines and engineering but someone should tell the cameraman to never, ever stand in the same plane as a spinning propellor.
