Simply brilliant, clever engineering, genius!

Neat motor, some fine craftsmanship went into making that. I am pleased to see a miniature straight 4 among all the V engine miniatures through they are also cool in their way.

I have seen quite a few model engines claiming 20 be "the worlds smallest" and what not, but that thing there, that *is* quite small. *and* it doesn't follow the mainstream V8 craze. I like it. :)
@HzrdFilms13 жыл бұрын
that seriously needs to be fitted to an rc car man - nice job!

Now to make a miniature dyno. Wow. I just saw the pics of the parts on the website. The spark plugs are teeny tiny. Congrats on First Place!

AHAHAHA no doubt! Actually it's a pretty cool feat of engineering, I'd like to see this in some kind of RC toy or kid car lol.

woah! i'm from the philippines and i think we can never achieve those kinds of engineering works i'm also a machinist.. but not fully auto.. how i wish i can build those.... good for you acegear...

Sounds more intimidating than a full size Honda 4 cylinder. Good job.
@splob19815 жыл бұрын
Hey you might want to check your ignition, its only running on four cylinders. Awesome job man

Dammm, I was like thats not that small, until I compared it to the palm of his hand xD Love it!

It sounds so angry, yet adorable. Can someone fit this in a built-to-scale 1960's Mini Cooper? It'd be the best thing.

While Georges engines are indeed impressive, there are some distict differences not the least of which is a water cooled block vs air cooled. In addition this engine has a pressurized oil system vs splash oil. So while George does make some beautiful machinery, it is less complex than the engine seen here.
@stevemcilroy.6214 жыл бұрын
this looks like it would'nt pull the skin off a rice pudding, but I respect the engineering, nice one.
@moyermade15 жыл бұрын
Rik thanks for the kind words. However, this was all hand machined, no CNC here. And machining is just one aspect of the process. It does have to work. Multiple parts were machined to spec, but didn't work for one reason or another. And while materials were a miniscule part of the equation time is a huge factor. I don't know about you but my time is valuable. So $10k? You bet it is worth that much to me. But then again things are only worth what others are willing to pay for them.

@ElijahWheeler No it deffinetly sounds more like a 4 stroke dirt bike. The 2 strokes are more, "braaapp", the 4's are more throaty like this engine.
@DJOverspin10 жыл бұрын
Is there a way to build a worlds smallest transmission for that worlds smalled 4-cylinder engine of yours to work on a small vehicle that can only fit 1 person at decent speeds? That would be great for the future and would be economically genius right there.
@TheUchihasparky6 жыл бұрын

@shawnkiller9014 жыл бұрын
@RustyNail04 i quite agree i def think this would be the motor to use if you wanted to make a scaled rc car!
@klampykixx14 жыл бұрын
you should build a remote control car to perfect scale and put that engine in!! i would love to that one day :)

put it in a battery RC car. then race all the kids at the park. "READY. GET SET. GO" *chugga VROOM VROOOM SCREECH* 'WAAAAAAH NO FAIR"
@teaguen887912 жыл бұрын
@powerman2442 No, you are wrong, because bigger rc planes either use a 2 stroke gas engine, or a nitro engine, this is neither.

Something that I've never been able to figure out is what type of oiling system do these mini engines utilize? Is it full pressure lubrication? I noticed this particular engine has a crude version of PCV so would it use full pressure lubrication in order to avoid blowing out seals like in a full scale engine?
@Krankie_V13 жыл бұрын
does that little radiator looking thing serve as such? is it a functional water cooling system?
@jpeterjpeter14 жыл бұрын
