Man it’s pretty cool to go back and watch these old videos from when you started your journey from time to time. You should consider doing a series where you watch these and reflect on a few of them. It would be interesting for you to commentate on it years later. Still enjoying your adventure. Keep on adventuring bud.

Thanks for the final review of the TRX. Aswered the questions I had about it. Liked that this episode was almost a half hour long. Every time I watch it makes me want to go out and explore more.

Same thing happened to me alone in Idaho last winter was in about 3 feet of snow I made a stupid decision ended up in about 5 feet of snow in a matter of seconds. I was alone in the middle of nowhere with no cell reception. Thankfully I had my Treds and was able to power through after fighting it for about an hour or so. Needless to say I needed to change out my briefs after that experience. I have a winch but there was nothing to tie onto such as boulders, trees, etc. You will have a lot of people voicing their opinions on the matter but sometimes shit just happens and its stuff like that you learn from. No amount of opinions in the comments section of a KZbin channel can help you when the shit hits the fan. Glad you made it out ok.

Awesome views in the Carolinas, and you are correct; danger makes for the BEST content! Still super pumped for the installation of the Goosegear Plate System in the Jeep. Looking forward to future videos where that happens. Keep it up buddy!

Those TREES are stunning, wow! That morning SC light - gorgeous! Someone needs to buy you a skateboard, there is a re-occuring theme of sliding side-ways... either you and/or the Jeep... ;) Another wonderful episode Chris! Already counting down to next weekend's edition!

Been following your vlog, from France and Abu Dhabi. Very good. I realise that you have to be careful when scouting and travelling, especially when alone, but this is the nature of exploring and scouting. Just try and get trax and a winch at some point (that’s expensive though) and keep on pushing! Best wishes

Travel tip Chris, when on the coast municipal marinas have showers......... keep a roll of quarters in the door pocket. Also large truck stops along the interstate highways, and rec centers/ municipal pools have showers. Even though you are out of doors a lot , it doesn't seem like you are completely away from civilization for long periods. No reason to have long stretches between showers.

Any of the chain truckstops, and many smaller truckstops have showers. Price varies.

Was surprised he didn’t go looking for a few big rough rocks to jam in the ruts he made.....it would have made for more work (if any rocks were around) but would’ve given his tires a lot of bite.

My 2 year old grandson found this video and started watching it. He said "Who dat man?" And then he saw your Jeep and it didn't matter anymore. As long as you drive a Jeep, you're okay with Li'l Man. He said "Papa's Jeep. Wong color." with his hands turned up as if to say "what happened?" HAHAHAHAHA

Alligator ointment works too. Apply it around their nose. Works great I hear. You should also get an electric chain saw, either battery powered or an AC corded one. It would be good for making firewood and clearing downed trees blocking roads. What was up with the fire truck at Starbucks? Someone burn the coffee?

Hey, Steve! It's an Ursa Minor J30. It's not quite a tent, but a whole replacement hard top for the Jeep that has a built-in pop-up. I love it, and it's the best thing I've ever done to my Jeep! www.ursaminorvehicles.com/

Really enjoy you videos so far. May I make a suggestion and ask that you tone down the volume of your footsteps. It gets rather annoying and takes away from the quality of the video. Kinda like someone rustling around in half empty bag of potato chips right beside your ear. Nice save on the stuck by the way.

I started watching your videos because I like your Jeep setup. I try not to say anything if it’s not kind, but honestly, your really depressing to listen to as you talk to a camera as if it’s your “Wilson." You have an apartment for a mailing address, while you're wandering around aimlessly. You also seem to be estranged from your son, who by the looks of him, needs a father in his life. People on KZbin are not your friends and they're not going to help you. It’s time to grab that man card and pick yourself up. Best wishes.

@Chris Ayres I don't think he makes anything off KZbin. I think he once said he does computer type work for a living and he can work from home/ anywhere.
@djohnson2676 жыл бұрын
@Chris Ayres I looked at his patreon and it says he gets almost 1700 a month on that, also many of these videos have ads, meaning he gets paid, probably not much but possibly another 5-800 a month. 2500 a month goes far when you are homeless and just eat tortillas and powdered potatoes.
