Nice video. I only wish you had mentioned the tire pressures used and also how would the 2020 vans would have done with traction control off? I found a similar scenario recently where my van was in 4WD low pedal to the floor and wasn’t moving or spinning but somehow eventually it made progress and got me out. Could not understand why there was no power delivery but good to see this is just how it works. What would “traction control off” do?

Another great video. I like your camera placements when you drive into and out of a scenic spot. The one showing the big hiking climb was a winner in my book. This place is definitely added to the travel list after watching your video, its beautiful there.

I ran a spare 9wire 12 ga cable from radiator area to rear bumper. Dead headed both ends. As my vehicle upgrades continue I have an extra ace in the hole in the waiting. I worked in a factory wiring truck bodies. Always solder and heat tube each splice and connections. Doing that will save alot of grief down a bumpy offtrail..

You need a head unit or some kind of bluethooth speakers. You should never wear Airpods or any other buds/headphones when driving. It's very dangerous, and illegal in many states.

Hey Chris, I would strongly recommend that you get a torque wrench specifically for the lugnuts. Over-tightening them can result in snapping the lugbolts. And, the torque wrench is also handy for ensuring all your suspension and steering fasteners are properly secured 😉

I first crossed El Camino del Diablo in 1984. Among my group of friends, we call the place "the Cabeza" [for obvious reasons]. I once crossed the Cabeza in July in a 2WD Dodge pickup, but I would not advise anyone who isn't both an experieced desert traveller and a little crazy to attempt such a journey. On March 16, 1989, during our Spring Break at U of A two friends and I camped at the Bluebird Mine, which is located on BLM land North of Bates Well. Just before sunset that day, we saw a truck headed West on the Camino. That was unusual enough that I got my binoculars and checked it out. It was a miles away, but I remember the truck was an early 80's Chevy Blazer. After we returned to civilization, I learned that Edward Abbey had died in Tucson on March 14. Months later, I read an account of how Abbey's friends took him to the Cabeza and buried him at an undisclosed location shortly after his death. Putting two and two together, I realized that Chevy Blazer we saw was ol' Cactus Ed on his final journey into the desert.

Double check that your ARB can be wired into the Switch Pro. I have the ARB twin and an S-Pod......the techs at S-Pod suggest NOT WIRING an air compressor to a switch panel, but to wire it directly to the battery.

Hey buddy, I’d suggest cutting out some of that seat mount either front or rear and adding a stainless steel louvered vent for air flow. Last thing you want is that twin arb overheating under there.

Why buy a vehicle if YOU can’t tear it apart and make it what YOU want! Chris- I concur with venting the ARB by moving the intake filters…maybe via some drilled holes in that cubby.

The ARB may overheat in a tight confined space like that. The cooling fan blows over the motor cooling fins and the compressor heads and out right between the air intakes. With no room for the hot air to escape quickly it gets sucked in the compressor. It’s a positive feedback and will possibly overheat. I know, I made this very mistake. Also if you’re not using an air reservoir, change the pressure switch to 70 PSI. It will not reduce the speed at which it pumps up a tire.

Oh wow, thanks I was considering this toilet at one time but now seeing it makes large balloons filled with poop, I'm glad I went in another direction. Wrappon if you are listening maybe a mechanism with a long bag that you can go multiple times and it seals between without the huge air pocket. Maybe that's how it works with the more expensive model? Anyway thanks for the review Venture4wd!
