It is really really refreshing to see a "family vlog" that doesn't use the kids for clicks and isn't made out of selfishness. Thanks for this matt

Seeing Luna and Atticus growing into these adorable human beings, being here since before Luna feels surreal. Watching you and Amanda through the years, adapting and changing in such a beautiful way. I will forever look forward to a matt and amanda vlog no matter what:)

Love hearing your insights on the sermon! Emotions are a weird thing. Often times, when we rely on our emotions, they lead us astray. But, as you said, when we are aligned with what God wants, it makes those emotions surge in the proper time. I'm also loving how "quiet" these vlogs are. They move slowly, and don't need a lot to happen. These vlogs are so cozy!

I love this laid back feel. It's so natural. Your kids are so much more open to foods than my son is. It's hard to plan meals. Great job with those goobers

These are like video journals, and I really like it. My pastor has talked about journaling to remember moments in his life, and it’s cool to see the same concept in other places. I love how much more laid back these are versus the ones over on the Overkill channel, makes it feel more personal in a way

A favorite verse! Jeremiah 9:24 but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the LORD.”

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the amazing content you create on your channel. Your videos always manage to brighten my day and provide me with valuable information about things I often question . Your hard work and dedication to your craft truly shine through in every video, and I am grateful for the time and effort you put into creating such content I’ve been watching since the early days of dope or nope and haven’t missed a video yet no matter the channel it might be on. Thank you again for all that you do, and I can say with great confidence keep up the great work! We love you Matt

Really enjoying the new vlogs, Matt. Thanks for sharing these aspects of your life in such a way. The slower pace also makes for very interestingly introspective videos. A podcast with the three brothers would also be really lovely to get some of you guys' thoughts in the context of a family conversation between the three of you. High Steaks with you and Bryan has been a real blessing. Hope you're having a lovely day, and see you on the next one :)

A documentary kinda deal would be cool. Like a "fly on the wall of writing" vibe that's delayed in posting so as not to spoil things. I can dig it. I love the angles of the shots you do. But the other half of me is sat here going "ahh, how frustrating would that be to get up and interrupt what you're doing to change the angle and set up a different shot that many times?" LOL.

I think your approach to emotions are smiliar to what I've been taught. Anger is one of those on the complex side because of where it generates from. I do like the idea of editing and narrating at the end of the day after filming. Its actually taking a log and turning it into more of a video journal.

I actually really enjoy your vlog-like videos and “just talking” videos (like you’ve also done on The Exec) at lot more than the overproduced entertainment videos. In a day and age where everything on the internet seems to be “fake”, I just want to see the real version of the people I watch, not the produced version. Havn’t missed a single vlog since you started, and looking forward to more :)

Huh, I had always thought that righteous anger was what God’s anger was referred to. I didn’t think us other people could experience that.
@onlyoverkill Жыл бұрын
I could be wrong but that's my understanding
@joshuawilliams2235 Жыл бұрын
The definition of righteous in the Bible would mean of course right in the eyes of God. Which would mean righteous anger is anger right in the eyes of God. Jesus used righteous anger clearing the temple and Jesus being fully God and fully man leads me to believe that man could act in righteous anger. This is how I understand it. Not saying man can do anything Jesus can

You know what would be cool? A camcorder car. A car complete with cameras on the inside that record everyone in it. User can swap out SD cards. This would probably not actually be a good idea though, because of how electric car juice is meant for just the car. The cameras would be on always draining the battery until the car is turned off.

This was super peaceful, wow. I actually teared up cuz I don't get serenity like that... Also, I'm pretty sure Sabbaths are Saturdays, not Sundays. 🤔 I don't think they're skippable either? Anyway, I miss strawberries... We can never keep them, they always go bad in our fridge 😅
@matt.mp4 Жыл бұрын
Jesus said the sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath. In other words if it glorifies God to skip the sabbath, then we should do so, but we should do so with prayerful consideration
@RosheenQuynh Жыл бұрын

When you first got saved, how did that affect your marriage and family? Because thats like a huge lifestyle change, so I was wondering if it felt like a learning curve to start pursuing faith as an adult
@matt.mp4 Жыл бұрын
Definitely. Sin was pervasive in my life and it’s a painful process to come to that awareness. Huge learning curve but the beauty is that when you come to Christ, you are immediately adopted into a new family as a child of God. Find a church who follows the word of the Bible and you will find people there to help love and guide you through the change.

That's one reason I like working in the office. We have to put phones away so I can leave it in my bag and just keep the "out of sight out of mind." The thing about the rights and wrongs of the world and of emotion though...I try to remember (and fail often) that being human means I'm gonna have moments where these things well up and I can't control it. Part of the human condition. Easier said than done to let go of the guilt associated with it when you feel or know it is misplaced, but that to me is the key to working that out. Remembering that being human means mistakes that can be learned from. But boy, oh boy, isn't that hard to remember sometimes? lol. I get the frustration with the comp too. It's the very reason my late husband preferred to use externals. One bad experience with a data wipe and he was just done. "I am not going through this again." he said. External ever since. But sadly even those can come with issues. I had to take one in to be repaired due to corruption in one of the file folders, and I lost a gig of data that could never be reconstructed. So yeah, always hit or miss. :(
