Brilliant analysis . output capacitor value should not be a yardstick to determine output voltage , it would be a wild guess. injecting external source in TL431 shall be the correct procedure . Very well explained. Thank you so much. I have a few SMPSs that are made for 5-ampere output but they are delivering only one-ampere current for load. As soon as I try to connect full load it goes into the overload protection mode. Why?

Follow following steps: - There could be dry joints. Resolder both terminals of current sense resistor. - Current sense resistor value may have been shifted. Try replacing with same or slightly lower value. - DC bulk Capacitor may got weak. Try replacing it.

dear sir, bahut badhiya tarika se bataya aapne🙏 sir ji mera ek swal tha sir ki kya ye same process hum optocuplor ki 3,or 4 pin nikal kar usski jagah diode se local feedback dekar bhi pata chal sakta hai ki humari feedback ka kon sa component kharab hai. pls bataiyega sir ji🙏
