@@wakehustlegrind that's it then. I've got a buddy with the mods listed, plus injectors, fuel pump and a tune. And he easily makes atleast 450 crank. Fast ass n/a v6. Stock internals. Just full bolt ons and a great tune. Gapped wrx's and some sti's. I'm an import guy but overall it's a great car with as much potential as the v8, if not more due to better technology (overhead cam).

save your money up and buy a V8, i bought a V6 2019 rs and it’s best to keep it stock bc when trading it in you’ll never get the money back you put into it. rather just put the money into the v8 and mod it from there

Actually it isn't because it's super cold air it's because when the nitrogen holding the oxygen molecule combusts in the chamber and hits a certain temperature it releases the extra oxygen molecule that it's carrying that's what makes the power more oxygen and then you add the appropriate amount of fuel and there's your power. Figures these guys wouldn't know what they were talking about lol...

Wow, so your telling people cold air intake and nitrous?!?! What about throttle body, light weight drive shaft, just a better tune!! Once you run out, your done, your cars stock again, dont listen to this, go get a full exhaust, cold air, throttle body, and a performance drive shaft. Then get a professional tune once you change out plugs, and fill it with 93. Plus, dont ever put a nitrous system on a plastic intake, you begging to blow that thing to bits when it backfires......

What are you smoking? The Lt1 in the old 4th gen camaro made 275 hp the first year...but it made 50 more lb ft of torque than your v6 in a car that ways 500 lbs less. The LT4 made 345 ish...The Ls1 in any late 4th gen will blow the doors off your v6... Your V6 camaro is never going to beat your buddies V8 unless he leaves it totally stock and you mod yours to within an inch of its life... Boost , nitrous, all equal durability issues, on an engine that is already wicked up near max from the factory.. gas milage??? Lol Ok. Mod the fuck out of it and lets see the numbers... A V8 is ALWAYS going to be a better platform for straight line performance. Anything you can do to that v6 you can do to a v8 BETTER... I like the lil v6, but to say your going to beat your buddies V8 is a fucking joke..

First off a sound being good is a matter of opinion and a lot of people think American V6s sound good, some say V8 is better but V6 is still good and I4 is shit. Some like them all. And then some are ass hats and belittle anybody that doesn't have a V8. That engine is not an economy engine, its more of a jack of all trades engine as it is the only V6 GM uses (including variants), they just use different tunes for different cars. The N/A ECOTEC I4 engines are economy engines. A lot of people will by the V6 because its cheaper and the better MPG when not playing with it, and with 300hp it has plenty to play with on the street with other cars and older generations of V8s, might not always win but you can play. Some people that have bought the V6 and played with it eventually want a little more like a lot of car guys do and $5000 in mods is cheaper that $15,000-$30,000 in a new car with a V8. Stepping away from the Camaro, some people are seeking knowledge for upgrading other cars with this family of engines as the top engine or in my case, as an option I might want to swap into my car over a Buick 3800S/C series II or a 3.4 push rod engine. Here is a really good (IMO) sounding V6 3800S/C. Yes its modify but you have to modify every car to make them sound really good. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5bEpWCMlqtjaZo

I totally confirm your comment. I had a 2001 LS1 V8, and I now have a 2014 V6. There's no way the V6 is faster. Also.. It's pretty common knowledge that the LS1 V8 HP figures were underrated by Chevy. There are many dynos to prove that. That being said, the V6 has great power at highway speeds, and way superior handling to the last generation. The LS1 is much lighter, and way more responsive to acceleration to the stock newer V6. You can't just compare the HP number on the tag.

And my car is doubling your hp for less cost . As for your car it would cost more and lose gas per mile . Durasticly.
