V71 Software Update for the Meta Quest, is the Quest 2 Dead?

the way meta rolls out updates is really weird, like why do some people get the new features and others have to wait days or weeks

I think it's based on the region they live, but IDK why that should make a difference.

Also they made the movable windows default in v69 seamless multitasking means you can use the menu while in game, open menu, click away, now you can Play the game while using 2d content while playing a game

For my headset the moveable windows had to be enabled, and I normally have them off. After restarting they became moveable by default. I actually dislike that feature as they are always at a weird angle now and I can't turn it off now.

@Mr.TurtleVR you can't turn it off because Meta made the windows always be like for everyone, not an option iont believe

I'm wondering what else they did; my battery seems to drain much fast now, but maybe that's just a coincidence.

Just hopped into the headset to see if it is working better now and it is, also saw the "free gift" and was confused, thanks for that BTW. I'll download it in a bit and test it out. But the thing that is freaking me out is the new sound location feature. Not sure what it's actually called but when it was in experimental it gave the illusion that sound from different windows was actually coming from the windows within the VR space. It's now on by default and it works too well, not only does it change direction in relation to the window I am facing but I physically walked away from it in real life and it sounded like it was further away in my room, it's crazy, it sounds like I have different speakers placed in my real space... How is that even possible?

I got v71 on the quest 3, and I don't got what they say they added as well

Maybe I wasn't late in getting it, afterall. I did notice another change after I stopped recording; when I went to shutdown it only gave me the "sleep" option, which I never had before. Now I have to click more options to see the full shutdown option.

i got the update they changed the ui into grey looks better than previous one

Quest 2 or 3? I have to check for any changes now that a couple days have passed.

@@Mr.TurtleVR i use a quest 2 and it does get constant new updates all the time

@танкист108 I have to check it for the changes then. The battery life was really bad the last time I tried it, and hand tracking was terrible, hopefully it's fixed now

@@Mr.TurtleVR for me everything was fine when I used it, it looked fine I had no issues with it other than that the update did get changed for me I'm not sure if everyone got it
