V8 backyard built Triumph TR7 rally car - the stuff dreams are made of.

Classic car , Vintage car , Veteran car and RADwood era car restorations and car repairs from the vantage point of the mechanics, technicians, auto electric techs, panel beaters and painters that work to keep our motoring heritage on the road.
In this video I visit Danny, owner of a replica V8 Triumph TR7 rally car which he competes in various historic rally events across Australia but mainly in Victoria. Like me, Danny grew up in love with the TR7. Unlike me, he's fulfilled a dream of owning one. Danny's had a long relationship with rallying itself having started out with his dad in Northern Ireland in a Mini Cooper S. Along the way, he's had various Subaru rally cars which he has successfully competed in.
Twice weekly visits to classic auto workshops featuring cars from the veteran to RADwood eras & including car restoration, rebuilds, repairs and restomods to anything from Aussie V8s, American muscle cars, Euro exotics, JDM, your coveted everyday runabout and more. If it's built before 1999, there's every chance I'll film it.
My name is Dave and I simply l love old cars and visiting workshops to chat to the people working on them. Added to that, I devour car content on youtube so I thought I'd join in and make some myself.

@@DavesClassicGarageToursV2 OK, I found the other channel, I won't be able to watch them all and get anything else done. I'm not into American cars much but anything Italian and most British. Not sure I understand the reasoning for the V2, I'm guessing that's for the non domestic cars. Cheers.

@@ratman9802 yes unfortunately my mostly over 45 male Aussie audience only watched V8 Aussie stuff over there so as soon as an Austin Healey appeared the viewing figures would fall off a cliff and youtube decided everyone would rather not watch the video so impressions went down as well. As you can see here, I'm still struggling to break out of the Antipodean archipelago. My fault though, other factors have meant I haven't been abke to regularly repost some weeks

@@DavesClassicGarageToursV2 Perhaps I have over estimated the Aussie classic culture but I've seen quite a few videos from there on classic Fiat, Alfa and Lancia and I've always enjoyed them; there's more than enough V8 stuff from the US. I've been watching a series on a Fiat 124 Sport Coupe (here www.youtube.com/@FISHERBUILT) I have just bought one of these. Anyway, great channel, loved the TR7. All the best, Chris.

What a car! and a thoroughly bloody good bloke. Thanks for sharing top stuff! As for The New Avengers TR7, it only appeared in a few episodes because it kept breaking down with electrical problems. It never put Joanna Lumley off as she had a convertible converted to a Grinnall V8 in the 1908's....as did I. Still have a 7 all original and has never been welded, I have not upgraded it at all because I want the drive to be as it was when I was a 20 year old and that adds to the experience. The turning circle on the 7 is way superior to modern cars these days. Great video luv it!!
