Yeah except if your country fucks you in the ass with co2 and car taxes. The S with V8 and no hybrid is twice as expensive after taxes than the V6 PHEV. Twice.

With the price increase I’d say GTS

I like them wheels, plain and stylish Radar guided crusie not standard, bit odd these days Have driven a 2009 9P GTS Cayenne, easy to forget the thing weighs 2.2 tonnes, it just felt so right to drive (didn't push too hard though as was my brothers car and he just got it). Vert impressive and comfortable on long drives. It really is the jack of all trades car/suv

Radar cruise - a mixed blessing imo. Having had a couple of VW group cars with it, I’m now enjoying a non-group car that has just plain cruise control. I liked radar cruise in 50 mph motorway roadworks restrictions, showing it at its most useful, in well behaved controlled conditions. But driving on a motorway in lane 1 at 70, with cruise set at mid-to-long distance setting, vehicle in front takes the slip road, and slows down, the cruise would still identify that vehicle as “in front” in lane 1 and slow me down too for enough to be annoying. Also, the cruise of course cannot anticipate traffic ahead and then when vehicles are slowing markedly, it reacts like a “learner” driver might - too slowly. But hey, alertness and good observation/anticipation on the part of the driver compensated haha! In that case of course, standard cruise is just fine for the alert driver. So we are getting on well with standard again (which I had some 15 years ago and really liked), and always staying alert! There will be plenty of commenters out there no doubt who will disagree and shoot me down or whatever…
@DontPanicDear3 ай бұрын
I much prefer standard cruise control too! Given I’m never going to lower my alertness, or take my feet away from the pedals, it’s a waste for me. All I end up doing, is being equally alert, as I need to nanny and correct the mistakes it makes.

does this cayenne have the sport exhaust on it?.the bigger V8 motor is nice but i cant stand constant grumbling engine noise,,or is the V8 somewhat quiet when in comfort mode? id love to get a V8 version if the noise can be turned down so its nice and quiet in the cabin...liked and subscribed!

Best video for the car.!Noise and handling compared to the x5 ?

This spec is really nicee, especially with these 19 inch wheels and actually british roadworthy sidewalls as mentioned. In terms of agility on less than perfect circumstances the v6 basic version with 100 kg less weight sitting on the nose of the car will most certainly turn in even sharper on slippery roads and has a less torquey but more fun engine characteristics in terms of peak power and smoother resonance on higher revs. Just saying, Anyway your videos are nob on.
@powerswearingfluids3 ай бұрын
damn, 20 inch wish tho that these would be 19s but then there would be no space left for front brake disc

Not quite different enough from my 2020 Cayenne S to warrant an upgrade just yet. Good to see they are making improvements where it’s needed and leaving it alone where it’s great.
@JohnGuidetti7513 ай бұрын
The engine itself is worth the upgrade from a V6 to a V8.
@tonyhilliarduk3 ай бұрын
@@JohnGuidetti751 I will need to drive one to answer that but when I drove a 2022 GTS with the same V8 I could feel the extra weight and not really feel the extra power. The V6 in mine is the 440hp twin turbo “hot-vee” out of the RS5. It’s quite a unit but it does lack the V8 burble. On a recent trip from U.K. to Switzerland we averaged 29mpg which astonished me given how much fun I was having on the winding Alps. Sitting at 90mph for hours on the motorway was a breeze. Did the journey in 14 hours and I could have easily climbed back in and done it all over again. It’s a ridiculously capable vehicle.

I hate VW and other german manufacturers for one thing and thats how greedy they are...adaptive cruise control is optional on a 130k EUR car..come on, its standard on a 20k Toyota. They can make everything optional, no worries, but not something that can increase safety.

The 2011 versions with softer setup where so bloody effective on normal roads and therefore infinitely better offroad than new ones. These cars where better almost in every aspect if you don´t count fuel efficiency and nurburgring lap times. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKW8Za2VqLx-l6M

Always like the way you present Tim, slightly odd chap that you are but this seems like a rather boring car and only suitable for label queens who now need a 'family' car rather than the proper sports car they really would love to still have :)
@DontPanicDear3 ай бұрын
It’s not ONLY for label queens 😂 Although they do love a Porsche! Like Tim says, it feels great to drive, with good brakes and steering. When you press on, it feels like a proper Porsche still, which is why we have one 😀 Utterly amazing on the Autobahn too of course 👀 (70 plate coupe)
