I have a stock '86 Bronco II, and have been dreaming about swapping the 5.0 from my '99 Explorer AWD, I own both, and both run at this time, so I am reluctant to disable both at the same time, your videos are encouraging and informative. You have one of the nicest looking B2's I've seen. When it comes to the paint job, yeah I've seen a couple that their paint job alone costs more than you're entire build. But you had something else in mind. Paint it to look badass, but you also didn't build it for car/truck shows. You actually use your lifted, big tired, V8, SAS swapped B2 for its intended purpose. Off-road. And the $ you saved by not spending $20k on a paint job allowed you to spend that $ to things that actually matter. Badass build man. I hope @ 4+ years later it's still going strong 👍

Hey there! Nice video! I have an 86 bronco 2. I’m building it to be an overlanding rig within a year. I plan on doing quite a few mods to it with engine swap, live axle, 35s etc. Currently as she sits with stock tires she feels top heavy. Do you feel that your lift and 35s are a stable ride or do you still feel some of the top heaviness? If so, any tips to help prevent that? I may have some more questions later on, thanks!
@randumadventures4 жыл бұрын
Well it definitely doesn’t feel like a corvette going down the road! It’s a lifted truck on big tires and soft suspension so it’s going to feel weird no matter what you do. Mine doesn’t bother me at all. If your concerned just make sure to retain the factory sway bars or add an aftermarket one like a AntiRock

It’s mentioned in one of my early build vids but I believe it’s for a 91 Ranger 4.0 and you just need to straighten out the bends.

Do you think it's worth it to drop a SOHC 4.0 in a bronco 2 vs doing the 302? they have the same HP so the ease of the v6 just seems more logical to me, just wanna hear your thoughts on it
@randumadventures5 жыл бұрын
Jake Green to me no. The known issues with that motor and lack of torque compared to a 5.0 is reason enough for me to not consider it. Plus I’d rather get away from that family of V6 transmissions

Brian, what’s the purpose of the pellets in the tires?
@randumadventures5 жыл бұрын
Erik Turner to balance the tires. Don’t use wheel weights on a true off road truck because they can get knocked off and any mud ,stones or snow that get stuck in the wheel or tire will throw it out of balance. With pellets they will self balance indefinitely
@blazewomack91975 жыл бұрын

@randumadventures5 жыл бұрын
Blaze Womack hard to answer that one. Is it stock? Lifted? Staying on street? Off roading?
@blazewomack91975 жыл бұрын
Randum Adventures With Brian it is stock but I’m wanting to build it for it to be off road but still drive it around my local town
@randumadventures5 жыл бұрын
Blaze Womack tire size will depend on if you lift it and if you re-gear it. Type of tire really comes down to the type of driving you do. I like the BFG KM2 on my truck since it’s mostly off road in extreme conditions.

What are tire pellets for?
@randumadventures3 жыл бұрын
They keep the tires balanced. If there is mud,snow or ice in the wheels the pellets will still keep them in balance. Also with the tires aired down you run the risk of popping the tire off the rim and may have to remount a tire trail side and chances of getting the tire matched up with where it was for the wheel weights will be impossible
