Sweet the only thing that I would recommend is that you put a filter sock on the intake so water doesn’t get inside the engine AEM sells them and probably K&N

There gonna have to be extra careful to not get any water inside the hull. Alternator is mounted at the bottom. And since there going through the hull with the exhaust out the back makes for extra caution.

I can’t believe the tune he put in it as a base ! Cold start is on point and it seems to rev fast with no stumble in the curve !! Don’t know where his AFR’s are but by ear and sight I’d say there damn close !!!

Just got done work... this title better not be clickbait, lol You should put a separate switch for each coil... one for the fuel pump, one for the fuel sending unit,... The ski sounds amazing... I'd prefer it a little louder, maybe ... but I guess I wasn't there in person. Either way, sounds amazing... back to the video. Ok, I'm done watching. The sound of the exhaust reminds me very much of two sport bikes instead of a V8... it's a very interesting sound. I don't know a lot about V8 engines so my guess is that this is because they usually either use a single exhaust or a cross over with dual exhaust. This is such a big moment in this project... the first fire up of any project is a big deal... I'm excited for you.

Haha no click bait here 👌 it is louder then it sounds on this video but I will probably talk about that in the video when I run it on the hose. The Ls has a different firing order then a traditional v8 which helps them run smother and they sound different to. Thanks Joel I am super happy as well 👍👌🍻

You should have put a honda civic engine in there. That v8 is too heavy and will sink it but also it will be slow because it wont make any power. Really foolish to dump money into an engine like that. They just don't make any power. I'm an engineer so you could say I'm an expert on building jet skis.

This thing is gonna be slow. Jetski engines idle at 2000 and run at 11000 + rpm. I get you have 500 horsepower instead of 100 but I'm not sure if it will make a difference since its lower rpm. I could be wrong though. Either way this is pretty cool.

That’s how the first fire up with a good tunesble ECM should be ! I was really impressed with his cold start and base line tune ! Mtr sounds good and snappy with no stumble!! That’s impressive most tuners can’t hit a base tune that good even on a basically stock mtr !

Awesome build. So what I wanna know is what impeller are you gonna run. That v8 doesnt spin as many rpm as jet ski motors normally do so are you gonna get a crazy pitch impeller made to take advantage of the torque of the engine .

I am no expert with this stuff, but don't Jet Ski engines preheat the water in the exhaust so the cold water doesn't break things like heads, blocks and other important parts? That engine is designed to run with water that is near 200 degrees in the cooling system. I am interested in hearing your thoughts.
