Holy shit, first time I've watched the v8 supercars racing and what a time to watch it, I caught it from the last 5/6 laps and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Amazing last few laps, almost like watching Forza in real life! I shall be investing some more time in this series in the future, cheers for the upload :)

Proof that the quality of a race is not in the number of passes, but the tension in the racing. It's better to have a car that can follow well than to have one that can pass really easily.

Great work on updating this so fast, I was at the track so didn't get a good look at the whole laps, im a holden man through and through but this was the first race that I was cheering #9 ford to win, my 2 fellow countrymen. that chicane incident is hard to call though as the only reason shane got infront on the straight was by unsettling the rear of #1 on the last corner before the straight, what i call a lowndes move. Do you have footage of the press conference everyone is talking about? Thnx

@cv129 Doubt US teams would go for it, this kinda racing is too hard for them.Not the best tires, not allowed 6 million ppl on the car in pit stops, tracks with left AND right turns.Theyd be winging in a week lol.

A bit late but!! As a Canadian would love to see a triple header of Toronto Montreal and Mosport! Before I left house to go race karts the last thing I did was watch the 2007 Bathurst 1000 intro ! It worked as I rarely missed the podium! The downside to that was already a washed up never was at 35 when found out what I was good at! 😀🤬🏁

3:21 if Gisbergen didn't cut chicane, is Whincup still a winner ? I'm just curious.
@gerard84392 жыл бұрын
SVG would have been going too fast to make that corner and in slowing down he would have lost the spot. Whincup had the race line and speed to make the corner. SVG let whincup take back the spot. That's what I seen anyway
@ekowso96782 жыл бұрын
@@gerard8439 Ok. I agree with your point. SVG just trying too hard on his race line.

If I’m the guy in third I’m kinda triggered that first and second guy where able to cut the chicane and and retain there positions they both should of been forced to lose a second after the race giving the guy in third the lead
@gerard84392 жыл бұрын
Na, he was never put at a disadvantage. SVG was in the wrong as he never slowed enough to make the corner but he corrected that by letting whincup take back front spot.

@sappa71 Ford was 'ankle tapped' years before the Holdens were to reduce their dominance. It goes around in circles, one does better then the other. I think that the formula today is the best ever for close racing and any car on the day has an almost equal shot at winning and if it produces races like the Gold Coast 600, leave it be

"Oh best racing ever" are the screams below, but most races are processional bullshit with no passing, and the fans stay away in droves, so much that they have many street races now getting cities to pay for the racing, because the tracks can't get the numbers.
