What surprises me the most about this car is that it doesn’t want more acceleration, it actually wants even more top end. It wants those bigger injectors and more boost. A lot of the passes were about smashing other cars at the top end and the passes that were lost were mostly about the car running out of steam when it was getting close to the other cars. It seems that the slower boost buildup actually helps this car to grip better.

@@dalew6226 My uncle had a TE Ghia in the late 80's, so it was still pretty new and I thought that it was the duck's guts. It was one of about 70 cars he went through. A mate had a fully loaded TD Ghia as a project. 250 4sd, wind back sunroof and lots of cancer 🙁 but prices nowadays would make it worth restoring. A bloke around the corner from me had a 65ish GT. I just had a look on line at how much Cortinas are selling for now and nearly had a stroke! Just don't slap him too hard...

The Supra has hit the mark. The look and every thing doing what it should pretty much from the start is a testament to your attention to detail. A couple of questions from a turbo noob, does the oil foam in the turbo feed tanks? The only reason I ask is it looked quite pale in the overflow bottle. Also don't you have to be careful with your oil tank heights re the turbos as if there is to much head on the return line wont it siphon back into the turbo when shut off flooding it? Always enjoying your Videos Cheers

Awesome video! Good to see the Supra performing, plus some cool cars you were running with. Seems you had no big issues, so well done. Be great so some further track action with the Supra. Also I,d love to see you or Skid Factory guys review that white cortina. It must have some serious work in it to handle that power! The stock engine for these in the UK was the 1.3 /1.6 Kent or 1.6/2.0 Ford pinto, so that’s a huge change in power.

Yeah i log coolant pressure. Nothing suggests the heads are lifting. Its more likely there is a pinhole in my expansion tank by the looks.

I used the GoPro max 360. It’s very cool just a lot of work in the edit to move around the image. I’ll hopefully get some videos of Scott’s rip out soon where you can move your phone to look around yourself while the car runs.
