3 of 4 glow plugs were dead that was the problem. Otherwise it start up without problems at very low temperatures. :-)

Crack the injectors a little then turn it over till it starts then tighten back up, for next time Some reason they struggle drawing fuel through when left a while ✌️

3 grijača su otišla pa zato nije palio. Kad smo to zamijenili, drugo jutro nije dva puta zavrtio i upalio je. Bijeli dim ide dok se ne ugrije, ali ovaj plavi kad ga stisnes zna dobro zadimiti, ali crno. Ako se netko napikava iza, samo niža i gas! 🤣🤣🤣

Novi sam u ovom hobiju imam XJ 99 2.5TD (kratko vrijeme) uz niz problema na početku (ovijes) imao sam problema sa paljenjem, izpostavilo se da mi svaki put povuklo malo lufta, od kad smo riješili izgleda sve OK! Trenutačno mi najviše smeta što na točno 2000rpm izbudi snagu i ubrzava jako - jako polako. (3,4,5 brtzina). Tata ima isti avto / motor i ide dosta bolje (više snage na 2000rpm) Imate li nekih izkustva ! (EGR je blindiran)?

Bok! Ja kad sam uzeo svojeg, dosta sam uložio u ovjes tako da budem na miru. Bila je to postena cifra, ali u dvije i pol godine sam promijenio samo ležaj na prednjem desnom kotaču. Jako često je na terenu i vjerovao ili ne baš sad sam došao sa terena. Ovaj put je bilo na jednom dijelu baš veliko kamenje, frend je odvalio dio branika, ali ništa drugo nismo potrgali. 😁 Što se snage tiče, bilo bi dobro provjeriti regulator protoka zraka. Meni se slično desilo i nije išao uopće preko 2000-2500 rpm. Nekad je proradio, ali najčešće nije htio u okretaje.

@@V8AmericanMuscleCar hvala na odgovoru, možda bi mogao probati i uzeti iz tatinog, nisam siguran dal je isti jer je njegov 1997g. Al simtomi su jako čudni, konkretno jučer, 1, 2 normalno (osjeti se samo mali trzaj na 2000 rpm.) 3, 4, 5 svaki put malo snažniji trzaj. Prema kraju dana nakon 150km čak se ni u 3 više nije osječalo ! Druga situacija koja me malo zabrinula, dolio sam vode za hlađenje kad sam se vratio doma na čep mi je izlazila razhladna tekučina dok je temperatura bila potpuno uredna 90°C avto sam ostavio da radi u leru 5 min in temperatura je bila skoz uredna 90°C Nakon što sam ga ugasio otvaram pažljivo posudu sa razladhnom (nije vrijala ni dimila) jel moguče da sam dolio previše vode (od prljavštine se ne vidi di je nivo ) Nakon provijere opet palim i ostavljam raditi 3-5min i pratim temperaturu cijelo vrijeme ok 90°C. P.S. redovito pratim tvoje videe i avanture, i vjerujem da je sposoban proč ozbiljan teren, i baš ti je lijepo sređen, ja svoj slažem više kao roadtrip car za magistrale brzine do 100km/h Makar kad sam testirao ide i do 140 / 145 ( samo test - lagana nizbrdica) i u zimskim uvijetima da se ne pregrije slučajno!

Hahah i moj tata ga ima! 😅 97-01 je redizajnirani model i mislim da bi više manje sve trebalo biti isto. Moguće je da ti čep ne drži dobro pa da dio vode baci van, možda višak. Nemoj doljevati i prati jel će se upaliti lampica da fali vode. Ako ne, bacio je samo višak vode. Meni je pomalo počeo gubiti vodu pa sad moram pregledati gdje...nadam se da nije glava. 😁

I don't think it had a chance that day. 3 out of 4 glow plugs were dead and it was cold. But you are right about shorter attempts.

@@V8AmericanMuscleCar yeah, maybe, just came to think of it. Still remember my old family cars where the batteries were almost always flat, so you did not have a choice and needed to wait endlessly before trying (shortly) again. Guess that's why I am somehow used to it *lol*....

Hi! 🙋🏻♂️ This time was glow plugs. 3 out of 4 were dead. That's the first thing you should check and glow plugs are not expensive. 😉

You're welcome my man. That could be MAF sensor. When I bought my 97 TD it didn't want to go over 2000 or so rpms. Sometimes yes but not very often. LOL In my case that was MAF sensor.

The fuel filter is good to change anyway, you have nothing to lose. Maybe that solves your problem. Wish you luck! 🙋🏻♂️

It's cold and the starter spun for a long time before engine started so there was a lot of unburned fuel in the cylinders...i think. 😁 After a minute there is no more smoke.
